so it being either number 1 or 2 on TVN and Wavve which are exclusive Korean platforms....that's not success to…
so you didn't do your research and are infact pulling stuff out your ass. got it.
fyi. just because YOU didn't see this drama anywhere does not testify to it being a flop. I didn't even search this but it popped up on my YouTube, x, TT, IG fyps. and what do you mean it goes by "rating" rating on what platform? lol almost all international fans are either watching this on VIU, YouTube or various illegal sites, and it still got #1 viewership on THE TVN... it might not pull the numbers queen of tears or lovely runner did but it definitely didn't slouch either, to think it got so successful that the only dramas we can think to compare it to are these gigantically successful shows .. I think THAT speaks for itself. and thing is... it's still gaining popularity, day by day new pple are watching it.
Emm... sorry if you still didn't 'notice', but you do care a looot or you wouldn't have written that comment.…
what do you mean I care alot? πππ you could cry yourself to sleep and complain to death and I wouldn't give a rats ass. me stating this does not in any way mean I care.
Even being huge BL fan, I never was agains the idea of this drama. Many cdramas explored the cencored BL, and…
so it being either number 1 or 2 on TVN and Wavve which are exclusive Korean platforms....that's not success to you? did you even do your research or are you just guessing?
still the best drama of 2024 even if you cry tears of blood, they still made bank and it's still gaining popularity each day. hate the director, hate the author, hate the actors, hate hate hate until that hate eats you up inside. majority don't care.
Can someone explain why Yi-heon did not want to continue living? As everything was sorted out for him, was something…
I think it's bcoz the trauma and pain YH experienced before meeting KDP ran too deep. The bullying he suffered, both at home and school, and the feeling of being unwanted and unloved tok a significant toll on his mental health. Even if everything was 'fixed' on the surface, he cld never be like Deuk pal; thus, who's to say he wouldn't attract other problems if he returned? This just highlights the long-lasting effects of bullying, which can't be fixed or erased by external changes.
personally (even if it made me sad and I nhated it) I applaud the writers for choosing to showcase the permanence and irreversibility of the damage caused by bullying and neglect
it's not just yi Heon and se Kyung's friendship that I liked... I also like how they became friends with the 3 girls that sat in front of and next to Yi Heon... so wholesome and cute
Although I see and agree with some of the arguments of having Yi Heon come back to live his lifeβ¦ Iβm sort…
( despite my rant below, I still would have liked Yi Heon to live. )
I'm so glad you pointed this out! The ending really drove home the long-lasting impact of bullying and trauma, didn't it? It's not something that can just be erased or fixed by external changes.
And you're right, we do tend to forget the victim's pain when the bully undergoes a redemption arc. It's like, 'Oh, they've changed, so everything's okay now.' But that's not how it works.
The most frustrating thing is that this happens in real life too, it's not just fictional people we tend to forgive but real life celebrities as well! Especially BL Actors. I have had so many fights with people that just tend to demean a victims trauma after being bullied in school by a famous guy, they always say "it's a long time ago, they've changed now" as if they know the bully in person and are not blinded by their beauty or great PR team π (I just feel like we fail to create a safe space for victims to share their stories without fear of judgement or dismissal π’)
I love how you put it - the memory of trauma isn't something that can just be reset like a happy, functioning normal kid again. It's a process, and a difficult one at that. And I think the show did a great job of showing that.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts - I found your response really interesting
How this drama goes from very low rating to 8.6. Iβm glad I gave it a try despite the rating and itβs the…
the low rating was due to some pple who were mad that the BL was removed, they rated it < 1 without even watching it, the rating then increased when more pple started watching it
jae min killed Yi Heon and the punishment fit that crime. Se kyung was the final nail to that coffin when he refused to save a drowning boy at his last breath but .... he was the only one who noticed when Yi Heon was gone and when an imposter took his place, he was the only one (apart from kdp) who fought to bring Yi Heon back so I forgave him...gosh I think I'll be writing essays until I'm fully over this drama ππππ

this video only made fans believe that there is beef btwn Chen fei Yu and Wang Yibo cause Xiao Zhan seemed very tense when he sat next to him πππ netizens cooked up rumours that it was cause of Yibo,

he wanted to play lan zhan from the untamed but Wang Yibo got the role, he liked some posts on Weibo which were insulting Yibo and ALOT of pple hate him for that... if this aired, it would greatly help with that hate cause we all know the bromance fandom is always ready to forgive if a drama is good enough
