As for the scene on the battlefield, uhhhhhhhhhhhh 🙂↕️
If I had to defend it, I could say, even the best of us have vulnerable moments? It wasn’t a damsel in distress moment but since they’re a Power Couple, it would be like watching each other’s back? I guess?
This show isn’t perfect but I feel its a step in a good direction.
After watching episodes 25-26, the writers finally gave He Yan some leeway to showcase her brilliance (with Dudu…
I see your point and this what I think could’ve happened. When she was with them as He Rufei they most probably didn’t come into too much civilian contact TOGETHER. All men were misogynistic to some level as we always see. Dudu, with his way of thinking is an anomaly (he had more of a problem with her being He Rufei than a woman), but that’s also probably because he’s the male lead. If he was anything written historically accurate, he would’ve reacted like Li Shang from Mulan, the moment he found out.
Coming back to my original point, even she spent a lot of time together with her Generals, she probably didn’t sit and discuss issues regarding women. At most , she might’ve just heard them pass sexist comments and might’ve told them to knock it off. No one expects their own friend’s misogyny to run so deep as to sacrifice women just for a superficial thing such as ‘dignity’. No wonder she was horrified by his behaviour.
And currently, she’s at a lower rank than her own man and she’s trying her damndest to save the women. I don’t think Dudu arriving saved her. Had she been General He Rufei, she could’ve done it easily. I feel like Dudu arriving with his battalion only gave them an extra edge against the Wutuo army.
I’ve seen the actor for He Rufei in other shows but he’s always played such sweetheart characters like in the Lost Tomb series and Youthful Glory. Seeing him in a villainous role is such a change.
I would have done the same thing for my friend ,tooIs the friendship between girls so hard and suspicious nowadays?🥲
I can see myself in Sangwol. I will love my best friend in any way she will allow me. Just being in her presence is enough for me. I don’t want anything else.

This is what I think.
On the other hand, I would go to jail for my best friend too.
BUT THEN AGAIN, IM
