i hope you enjoy it! personally i really like it because i love me some angsty romance, but i do notice that this drama has mixed reviews. the genre is up my alley, and i love both yang mi and william chan so ofc im biased XD the only parts i dont rlly like is the scenes with the emperor and his wife, its too chaotic hahaha

i watched the drama months ago but im very sure they didnt show her when she was a baby at all throughout the drama. i was going through the comments and people were saying their age gap is only 7 years apart. dont know if thats too much for you or not hahahaha
the emperor and his wife dies. main guy also "dies" but actually didnt. they heavily hinted that he's actually alive but didnt actually show it. main girl ends up becoming queen and takes care of the emperor's child while main guy trains him/her (i forgot the gender of the kid) from the shadows. basically his character goes back to like how he was in the start of the drama, someone hidden behind a mask

she wasnt a baby when he took her in. they didnt specify their age but it was mentioned later on that their age gap isnt too far apart. also the actors are only 1 year apart irl :)
just a character they put alongside the old man to pass the censorship. it's their way of saying that the story is just fiction, and that it's just a story the old man told He Xiao Yu so she can get inspiration for her paintings
i wonder if they chose chang dong purely out of coincidence that he was there when the storm hit and he was the only survivor, or if there's more behind it..
i dont remember liking yu wen yue's voice as much as i do here.. maybe his voice got even more charming with age XD
