It was set to happen, but I still wish they gave us a bit more of sweetness before the angst
What I appreciate more is that they did not show DFYC sulking in pity for a very long time. THH can not remember anything hence, she has no reason to just sit in a corner and cry. But DFYC as always bounced and got back to the task for which he ventured out of Tushan.
Guys who is the guy in black and in a dark room that looks like he is tied up????
He is GG hiding nearby the competition arena, so that he can influence DFYC via dream to make him kill DFL. He is not tied up, nor hiding in fear.. he is hiding so that he is not scene by other while he performs the task to influence DFYC.
Looked like GG with new look. The one manipulating DFYC to kill DFL was for sure GG.. One talking to Nandong Shi…
Nandong shi is the guy who was the judge at the competition. I am sure he is very much interested in keeping the rift between Humans and Spirits alive to keep ruling humans. GG must have offered him help to fulfill his agenda.
However, Nandong Shi may not be aware of GGs hatred towards Humas race as a whole. He might think that GG is an ally when in really GG is just using Nandong shi as his pawn..
THH seems to have gone from a mostly red-based wardrobe to mostly white (from Ep20 onwards - based on previews…
My take-
Losing the love seed has rid her off all feelings related to love. Hence the new wardrobe without red. Red color is considered a color for love.
Her new costume could be to go in sync with her current loveless life. The day she feels it again, may be we will see red seeping in back into her wardrobe..
I also cried with them! That simple act of removing the H&E thread that bounded them together was so sad.
It broke DFYC to tears.. a guy who never cried even when chased by half the world, not while facing life and death situations, not when he gave 10 years to DFL... it was sad....

Yes.. he needs to.. it didnt look like the original spell. DFL must have manipulated it.. also Original book should also exsit somewhere which DFYC should find to learn the right technique.

Yes he must have had direct or indirect involvement in father Nandong's killing. He almost mentioned when the the other guy came to inform about DFYCs visit.

I think the incident women were abducted or killed by GG. He is the one in cloak who jumped out of window. He did in collusion with nandong guy of yiqi

I dont know if its about his acting but the way he was listening to THH and TRR conversation when the later was telling about the missing YIQI desciples was kind of off. These are the little things that stop me from not doubting even if I like him. His and DFYCs scenes were so much.. Both DFs were good together..
There was a time when DFYC himself asked him THH could remove the heaven and Earth thread.. And the fact when THH actually granted that wish, he cried for the first time (please correct me, if he was shown crying prior to today's episode).
At one point in time he considered H&E thread to be an inconvinience.. but today it was the only remaining connection with THH that he might not have wanted to loose. Unfortunately taken away from the very person who gave it to him.
To me it looked like DFYC must have felt devastated enough to cry, because removal of thread represents THH doesn't even want to know which part of the earth he exists. She wants nothing with him not even his physical location.
The episodes were perfect blend of angst and light and funny moments without breaking the feel and essence of the current storyline.
DFYCs heart was literaly crushed, but his 'nothing keep me down for a long time' is what is kind of a special characteristics of this character. He can be utterly sad but he never forgets he has things to do. Like we say keep emotions and profession separate.
He has taken up a hurricane task of establishing peace between humans and spirits and he his going to do it, even if love of his life rejected him and took away the last connection between them existing since the very first meeting (heaven and earth thread), even if he is left alone to figure out his way ahead.. nothing can bring him down..
Finally caught up with both episode 19-20. Loved it.. this show is actually good at surprising.. they seem to have a planned story and not just doing some random stuff.
Things in the episodes actually happened as I expected to certain extent but different at the same time. Thats what I loved, though we had a good idea what to expect from the previews, yet the execution was done nicely.
However, points to writing team for keeping in mind this little detail and not forgetting about it.

Only doubt is the one who killed or abducted the Yiqi girl. Attire wise he looked GG but DFL is also under suspicsion for the missing Yiqi desciples..
