The result is-

the word that means 'obsession' in the above dialogues is-(执念).
This is multiple meaning like -strong belief or desire; obsession; fixation.

looks like the translator or team just picked the google translated version.

The meaning (out the 4 mentioned above) I feel fits best in this situation is "Desire" not obsession. His love iis as pure stupidly sacrificial, selfless, but not an obsession in any sense.. I am satisfied ..

I wonder if the actual chinese character really mean "obsession" or is it just the translation. For some reason obsession doesn't sound to be a very positive word when used in relation to deep love. Leaving a feathered flower for his 'Yaoxian jiejie' is more like a wish, not an 'obsession'.

Maybe I should check the chinese subtitles and check if it actually means obsession in this context..
