My biggest complaint is why don't these villains have no base to operate from. Why are they just standing in a desert, hiding behind dunes. I mean when SJ made her appearance outside the Spirit-Master Kingdom, she arrived on men held, chair, chariot (whatever that thing was). It did not make her look terrifying. I mean with that royal clothing you couldn't give her a matching chair even if it was men held. They all look homeless villains..

She looked good when she flew off the chair.. May be she should fly more..

We are in the same boat. I have never been good with patience. Most of the shows I watched were binged. First time I am experiencing what it feels like to wait for episodes.

There should definitely be such a school, and Guo Guo can definitely be the teacher. They should be restricted from speaking too much, rather focus on action like Guo Guo does.

He is even in close circle of all the powerful Tushan people, without creating much of a suspicion (keeping Aalai aside). But JRF and SJ couldn't even reach the city gates. What kind of Villain craft is this. How I am supposed to take them too seriously as a viewer.

Grief Tree corrupted by dark power was more of a threat than these two together. She should have actually stayed in smoke form inside the tree..

Well there is a super cute baby actress named, Yang Yuan Yuan (guest role) playing their daughter. That makes me happy but also solidifies the fact that I should just keep in mind that there are very high chances of it being a bitter sweet ending..

I am sure they need all these couple if they need their Grief Tree intact. I mean they must not have titled the show as 'Matchmaker' for no reason. I am hopeful BT will make a comeback. I am only wondering if she will be reinstated in the same body, or will it be a rebirth.

Also I was expecting THH and DFYC to be the first official Human- Spirit couple, but makers did surprise me there. It is actually BT and SK.

I guess the show also going through the baggage of original versions of the story in comic/anime form. Many of the viewers who have already read/scene the original already have an overall idea of the characters. And when they are not seeing the exact same thing, it is possibly making them uncomfortable. I on the other hand of no reference of the original work. So I am just watching it just as a fresh viewer.

In the beginning I also believed THH is too stern and stiff. However, over the time I am opening up to her more. And certain conversations here have made me understand her better than before.

New episodes have given me hope, that we will see more interaction among the leads..

I am yet to watch any of his modern dramas. I will definitely give these a try after this one is over. I have seen a clips of Rising with the Wind. He looks great in modern look..

There is no video, I just saw it in the cast list mentioned here in the forum. There is a character named Dongfang Huai Zhu, played by Liu Shi Shi (Guest Role). I am guessing she is DFYC aunt, we have been discussing about.
ALso there is a little girl at the end playing THH and DFYC daughter.. This makes me happy..

There is never been a doubt that she cares deeply for him. Else she could have simply sacrificed him anytime in the last 16 years. Nobody will have been unhappy except JRF(but who cares about him).
It's just as viewer I was looking for physical expression of that care. However, after re watching those scenes and our conversation since yesterday I am able to view it in a different way.. I have changed my perspective... And it makes more sense.
Also while rewatching I dont have to concentrate on sub titles that much, coz I already have the general idea of the scene. Hence, things make so much more sense.

That is true. Every story has different aspect and what will connect more with the viewers, no one can say.

I think we will get to see her in this one as well. Maybe only for a short duration, because cast does mention her.. i just checked.

I have only seen WOH and now this one is second show of Gong Jun. I loved him as WKX and I find him adorable as DFYC, Good thing is I can set apart both characters played by him. Which means he is putting effort to portray each of these characters.
Do you mean Longest Promise should be 6to 6.5 or Fox Spirit?
Honestly, I don't want to rely on ratings because-
1. they are no more reliable,
2. watching a show based only on ratings makes me feel like being a part of herd. Going along with the popular opinion. I want to have my opinion and then stand by it.

Both have feels.. both them irritated their respective partners.. such a treat to watch them both. Just imagine both WKX and WY together, bringing chaos to the living world.. it would be so much fun!

TYY loves and admires her sister a lot. I am sure sooner or later she will come in terms with the fact that DFYC is important for THH. She won't act up like the elder, who at the very first opportunity tried to sacrifice DFYC (granted he was sad about it).

Ohh DFYC is going to super sad and probably a little mad when he gets to know that. However, till now he has been pretty easy and accepting, also quick to recover. He gets mad for sometime but then he also likes to understand other's point of view. He might actually pull up another sacrificial stunt like he did for DF Luo's soul and Yin stone to free all the spirits.

I love them both but after watching WOH, it connected a slightly more. May be because WOH had a bit lesser political drama than the TU. however, no denying the fact that both shows are amazing..

Did they show who is Yuechu mom's sister? Did I miss seeing her? Does that mean YC mom's sister can also pass on powers to her children? will there be another character with powers like YC??

I think she will be at some point in time. Because it did not seem like a final farewell. Like you said you have seen more of their scenes. But when will that happen is yet to be seen. hard to predict at this stage.

The costume team cant be praised enough. They have done a fantastic job. Actors are already beautiful, but costume team done a marvelous job in transitioning all these actors into beautiful characters... I mean just look at Shi Kuan in episode 14 preview.. The way his entire look has been changed to look like an emperor from a body guard.
