I'm having the same issue with this drama as I had with Chen Feiyu's last modern drama (LNP). The story is just dragging on cause one character is being stubborn and refuses to admit everything. We are on episode 23 and it feels like they throwing random roadblocks for the sake of having more episodes rather than for the plot.

I read CFY's next modern drama's book and I fear we will be getting a repeat of the same dymanic.

Everytime I see the opening credits, I think of how ugly that wedding dress is and how unflattering it is.

Also I hope Chairman Wang isn't who I think it is.

Him going from using a carryon travel bag to a suitcase was forboding, not to add him waking up and watching her sleep.

The lack of question from her is side eye. He always runs to her side the second he thinks she may need him so where is the same energy? She sees him emotional and he tella her he is dealing a with a lot and she asks no further question.

Just watched episode 14, I'm guessing old man was in prison and was released without telling his family.

I hope the Jia Fan issue comes up again cause it was jus brushed under.

The sub teacher must have some serious connections. Still not feeling them, usually fast forward their scenes

I just saw that a movie version with a new cast has been annouced. This drama just stopped airing and they are already talking about a remake. The fact it is ain't even a foreign remake makes this even more bizarre.

Him saving her at every turn is getting old for me. She is more than a damsel in distress and the constant coming to her rescue is lazy and doesn't even make sense like in episode 5 except as a plot device

FS is creeping me out, he seems like a stalker. Always popping up where she is without notice and always in her business.

You might want to put this in a spoiler as it sounds like you read the book. I didn't and was based my theories on the episodes that I watched so far

The university parts are the best. I don't really care for the hotshot current versions of the characters. Cdramas stay having the grown up versions as CEOs, directors etc... within a few years of the characters graduating.

I'm guessing the groom belongs to her bestie and he misunderstood. I bet her family issues popped up and she decided to let him believe that in order to protect him.

I'm guessing we geting teacher/student romance for second leads but at least everyone is grown.

I love the drama so far.

So excited for this based on the actors and the previews that I've seen. Chen Feiyu may have found his niche

I'm entitled to my opinion just like you are entitled to yours. I watched 23 episodes (2 since my last post) so far and my mind still the same.

The ML simply ain't doing it for me. He has Fenghua on ice like she is his back up plan. He clearly knows about her feelings and has for years and simply doesn't feel the same.

Like I predicted, he only started making moves when he saw Fenghua might have an admirer.

I'm so over Siyi. I was waiting for her ass to disappear every episode and it didn't happen until half way.

I need Fenghua to read the room and stop waiting on a man who clearly don't want her. I know he is the male lead but I hate they going to end up together. I hope Fenghua at least dates someon else to show him she got options. She has more chemisty IMO with someone else in the group

Guess this drama made me discover a new pet peeve, actors having the same name as their characters. Took me out of the drama and was truly not needed

Looks like everyone has the same thought.

I checked his other photos and while he looks similar to Wu Lei, this photo is on another level. Them having the same surname and both being born in Shanghai ain't helping. They can play twins and no one will blink.

I die every time the editors cut the romantic music cause the lead got a reality check. I love a loser in love trope.

This drama is good so far {episode 3)

Du Wei wasn’t lying at the end of ep 20. One of them needs to make a move instead of dragging it out and possibly (I know that won’t happen) missing the window.

Qiqi needs to learn when to quit, she is becoming a stalker. Any excuse to see him when she is still not even on his radar. Watch him end up with Du Man

I thought it would be Li Tian but guess not. He was so cute when he read her little note when he got his book back

Just finished Episode 16 and it is kinda refreshing how almost no one is planning to go the same university. Everyone seemed to picked the university that would suit their goals.

I get putting the characters in the same university helps the story along but it is unrealistic especially in a country as big as China.

It seems like a easy cop out and for me. it would be more interesting to see characters try maintain relationships while also studying in different universities especially a couple.

I’m watching First Frost and this show and the difference in Zhai Xiao Wen is amazing.Like I hated him on sight when he came on FF but it took me a while to clock it was him in Always Home.

ZXW has insanely amazing glass skin and is glowing. Anyway, I’m really enjoying AH even if it is very standard coming of age story so far.

I'm so ready for them both to go back to China. The Eastern counry plot truly doesn't interest me. Fingers crosssed tha it happens soon
