She is supposedly a black belt in Taekwondo who can fight of multiple opponents, yet gets stabbed by a single assailant who ran directly at her while she stood there and watched.
Needless to say my sister, who is a black belt, wasn't sure whether to be pissed, cry, or laugh.
I’m 20 minute into the first episode and am BEYOND CONFUSED... So you’re telling me this Lee Kim walked through…
He was confused because although similar levels of development it was like walking into a different country in the same era. Because the monarchy was abolished a long time ago certain architectural elements were different. Also the Korean war, which didn't happen in his universe, brought in a bunch of American influence really affecting visible everyday things.
The drama actually has to compensate for the fact that kingdom of Korea is thriving, despite missing a lot of the history that made Korea develop so quickly, by adding in a fictional valuable resource unique to the Korean peninsula.
Just started, I very much approve of how it doesn't waste too much time in set up. There are soooo many dramas the spend 1-2 episodes when it isn't needed, and is boring. Also, OMG love main female lead!!
From what I can tell, not as much as webtoon fans would like. I only got around 16-20 chapters into the webtoon…
Oh, also I know for a fact the pairings are a bit different, they toned down gangster, and they added an extra character (who takes some of gangster's scenes).
I'll post new character/non-existent pairings I heard about below in spoiler.
From what I can tell, not as much as webtoon fans would like. I only got around 16-20 chapters into the webtoon and found it too slow, but from what I've heard from the long time fans is that the drama's fast pace led to a lot of missed explanations and shallow interpretations of the webtoon's themes/storylines.
This show isn't that good tbh. The casting and the direction of the show could have been better.
I'd only recast the main and gangster... their characters were fine but those two felt wrong in the role. Also I'd completely rewrite the useless sub antag who only did 2 things and somehow survived the whole thing.
Fyi, the female lead just won the Halyu Best actress award in Seoul International Film 2020. Son Ye Jin is very…
Got put on the back burner cause of school. Thus far ones I've seen/started: (Finished) 1. Legend of the blue sea: watched as it aired 2. The King eternal monarch: watched as it aired
(Mostly seen) 3. boys over flowers: watched till ep 12ish in early 2014 4. Faith: watched till ep 8ish back in 2014
(Briefly started) 5. The heirs: Watched 2 eps 6. Personal Taste: 1 ep
TBH I was mainly looking for something where his acting was better because of a convo I had with my sister, but I noticed along the way I find the projects he chooses are iffy too. Also meant to start city hunter as well. RIP
LOL the youngest of the bullies is Kim Yeon Woo at 27 years old, then 29, and the main two are 31 XD But I assumed the bullies were a grade or two older than our leads, so I didn't group them as playing the same age.
That's actually Yonsei university in Seoul..... it's one of the coveted 3 universities in South Korea which are…
Yes, but yonsei usually portrays other universities rather than High schools. The ratio is around 80/20 Uni/HS. Choong-ang high school tends to get the most high school roles.
first seconds of trailer and already the same highschool as always in kdrama lol
That's actually Yonsei university in Seoul..... it's one of the coveted 3 universities in South Korea which are sometimes referred to as the Korean ivy leagues, but mostly referred to as S.K.Y. (Seoul national, Korea university, Yonsei university)

Drama: Jisoo X Swordsman (whether romantically or platonically)
Hyun Su and Jisoo are def not a thing, and Hyun Su often feels like a third wheel to Jisoo and Swordsman.
If Hyun Su were paired with anyone it'd be Eun Yoo (Eun).
