I wasn't sure I'd appreciate the Korean version after loving the Japanese one but this was pretty solid. Good work by the little actress and the OST was nice. I'll have to re-watch the Japanese one as I forgot a lot of it but overall, this is a good watch. Motherhood is a gift and having a good mother is a treasure. Warning: Have tissues ready.
Ai to the goo. Where do I begin! I had some of these on my list but I now have a ton more! Japanese Signal, Monte Cristo, and Park Seo Joon's drama. Sherlock looks fun too (what a pretty poster). So many dramas, so little time.
Thanks for the fun quiz. I somehow ended up as the Second Male Lead, lol. I guess I am the hero behind the shadows~~ though I wouldn't say I'm that self-sacrificing.
Though not outstanding, this drama was well-received by me. Despite the scandal, it wrapped up well, too. GKP (who played KIK) was like a big puppy. As for Kim Ji Han (whose character wasn't so bad), I spent more than half the drama asking why Taltal is out of place, lol. Romance being put on the back burner--nah, in the freezer--was refreshing too! Edit: It had some parts that brought tears to my eyes and others that had me at the edge of my seat. Enjoying the OST now.
I didn't want spoilers so I didn't read your post but things that bring tears to my eyes are: Various scenes in a J-drama, regardless of genre (I swear, sometimes it's just a bento box and I'm so moved!). Children and vulnerable populations. Parental sacrifice. Family moments. Death of loyal subjects in a historical. Farewells. I like a little sadness/melodrama but I don't actively look for tragic tales.
