It's not the vampire story i was hoping for. I wanted a mysterious, powerful, serious, courageous vampire that uses his powers often and fighting other vampires and humans while protecting the FL. Instead, they made him weak and easily bullied. And the weird comedy didn't help either. The romance took far too long to get started and the ending was stupid.

Yes, i agree with everything you mentioned. It's not that i want to watch more harem, i like both equally, i just see love triangles as it is, no matter what gender is involved. It's annoying some will ignore it or even deny it because they see nothing wrong with two male characters pursuing the FL. There also might be a huge misunderstanding about the definition of a love triangle. By definition, a love triangle is a situation in which two people both love a third person, regardless of whether that third person has feelings for one or the other. But it's true, these romcoms are made for female viewers, so it will mostly show a kind, caring, and considerate SML, while having a toxic, obsessive and sometimes crazy SFL.

I'm on episode 11, and this drama is a bit frustrating. The ML is a bit disappointing, he let's people bully him. I was hoping for a more courageous, confident, strong, take no crap from anyone type of vampire. There's not much romance either. I hope the last 6 episodes get better, and i hope the ML starts acting like a vampire and grows a pair.

But why is it many on MDL don't consider two male characters pursuing the FL a love triangle, but will immediately call it a love triangle when two female characters pursue the ML? I've asked many times on different dramas about love triangles, and the response I usually get is, "There's a female character from the ML's past that gets involved with him again." Or something like that. But when i end up watching it, there's often a SML who's in love with the FL from the beginning. They completely ignore the SML pursuing the FL. I don't get it, it's like it's perfectly fine and normal for the FL to be surrounded and pursued by multiple males, but as soon as the ML gets some attention from a female character other than the FL, all hell breaks loose. ML with SFL, "toxic." FL with SML, "you go girl."

Well, this is disappointing. I'm on episode 2, and i was hoping he'd wake up in the present being a vampire with powers. Now she just sees him as a crazy bum while enjoying the company of the real estate ceo she went to school with. I read in the comments that there were no love triangles. Well, that was misleading. And what about his two vampire friends. They see he's missing from his coffin, and they don't even wait for him knowing he'd probably come back because that's his home and he has no other places to go, he's unfamiliar with the present. It's a disappointing start. I hope it gets better.

Oh great, i love that trope.

I like the misunderstandings and love triangles for a few reasons. Firstly, it's entertaining, as long as it's not over the top. Secondly, it provides a trigger or catalyst for one or both to get jealous to realise their feelings for each other and move forward, instead of delaying their confession. Thirdly, it provides obstacles in their journey of love and relationships. These obstacles will bring the leads closer, creating a stronger relationship. But it has to have a happy ending. Otherwise, it's all for nothing.

For the pacing i think it was the standard for Kdramas. From memory i think halfway through we could see the leads have feelings for each other. But the romance was just ok, nothing extraordinary.
