Well, if it's worth it, I'll continue. I'm actually almost finished episode 2 because I'm skipping most of it. It's just a repeat of episode 1, but from her perspective. Stupid in my opinion. So I'm not missing much. But i have to say it's the first time ever I've skipped scenes before I've reached halfway through a drama. And I've been watching dramas for years. Maybe it's just a slow start like you said, but it better be worth it.

I just finished episode 1. The leads haven't even interacted with each other. That's crazy. In some dramas, they don't meet straight away, but at least it still happens in the first episode. I'm hoping episode 2 is better, but at this point, I'm just hoping they actually interact😅 If they don't meet in episode 2, I'm skipping scenes or dropping it like a tonne of bricks.

OT. A question to the people speaking fluent Mandarin. When we see a historical Cdrama drama where a modern-day character goes back in time hundreds or thousands of years, how do they understand and speak to each other? Hasn't the language changed over time? Maybe similar but with a different dialect. It seems they're speaking the same language to each other without any difficulty.
