Really interesting article! I really enjoy reading stats, and I love how you researched this. Personally I think a well thought out but sad ending is better than a happy but weak/illogical ending. The ending is a vital part of a drama, and if a 'happy' ending is rushed or not well thought through, it brings down the rest of the drama (coughcoughTOTNTcoughcough). An ending should leave you feeling satisfied, like the story was concluded fittingly, regardless of whether it's happy or sad. For me, part of the experience of watching a drama is wondering what the ending will be like, so I hate finding out anything about it beforehand. That said, I do prefer coming out of a drama with a smile on my face lol
I still can't believe that the Italian chef is played by the same actor who plays the Chief Prosecutor in The Fiery Priest. I honestly would never have noticed if someone hadn't told me slsjdfl it's amazing what a perm and a mustache can do to a person
Is it good? Give me a story outline, with spoilers, I don't mind at all. Put spoiler tag before saying.
In a nutshell, Vincenzo Cassano the mafia lawyer returns to Korea to claim some gold only he (and one other guy) knows about. In trying to do so, he gets involved in a fight against a big pharmaceutical company and its sketchy business practices. The FL, Lawyer Hong Cha Young, is initailly on the company's side, but a tragic event causes her to side with Vincenzo instead.
So far it's great, plus the writer has a rlly good reputation. If you do give it a try, at least watch until ep 4 before making up your mind, it really starts to pick up there
This drama is special to me because it was the first drama I ever watched airing, and I watched it with friends. I loved it a lot and remember it fondly. However I was both in middle school and fairly new to dramas at the time, so I'm wondering if it's actually as good as I remember it being lol. Not sure if I should rewatch it and see or just leave the memory untouched lol
I love how the character arcs were done in this, they were all so engaging and layered. I originally watched for LJS, but I really liked PSH's character. I had a bit of negative bias against her acting from the Heirs clips i've seen, but all that is gone now. I think she did very well. Overall a really nice watch, I definitely recommend it.
DOTS, Goblin, and IONTBO didn't stand out for me so ....
I don't hold DOTS or Goblin to any high esteem either, but two of my all time favourite dramas are from this writer, so that's what I'm basing my expectations on. Cant speak on IONTBO, havent seen it.
Waited 8 months for Vincenzo solely bc of this writer, and it's off to a great start!! Hoping it'll be a drama I'll like as much as Chief Kim and The Fiery Priest!!
