I can never watch time travel dramas and the like where someone has to hide their identity and does a terrible job of it, they stress me tf out bc i get INSANE secondhand embarrassment and my blood pressure skyrockets evERYTIME, but to see lee do hyun i will willingly suffer through the multiple heart attacks hhhh im three eps in and suffERING but it's worth it

I would watch a Jo duo spin-off no lie, i loved them! Overall TKEM was alright. Could have been better, of course, tho. I finished TOTNT because I waited a rlly long time for it, and bc I absolutely loved Lee Rang and Lee Yeon's relationship. Truly it would have been best if the drama had just been about the two of them imo lol. Im on the last episode of Legend of the Blue Sea now, and it's also lost quite a bit steam for me in terms of the main couple lmao. The side characters are the best part rn tbh. Idk why that always happens to me, I end up liking secondary couples and characters more instead of the leads lol

'Turn your brain off humor' is really the best way to put it lol!! It's so random that even if you did use your brain it wouldn't be of much help, and I think that's great. The drama by Chief Kim's writer is called Vincenzo!! It's coming out in February, and I couldn't be more excited :D Song Joong Ki is playing the ML, and the main genre is comedy, so it's already looking really good, not to mention the incredible writer :DD

Truth be told Jo Yeong was the highlight of TKEM for me (and Jo Eunsup too but stILL). I rlly wish they had spent more time on his character, bc he was my favourite by far. Their combined antics were hilarious and i'm forever mad they never met again in the finale :( TOTNT dropped the ball for me with that last episode tbh. When you have more than 3 unanswered questions at the end of a drama, it's not a strong ending imo, and I had half a page of unanswered questions from the final episode alone :/ At least TKEM answered most of my questions by the end lol. Overall i still enjoyed TOTNT tho, and the instrumental soundtrack is to die for. But yea, gotta keep hoping for good new content next year!!! There has to be at least one good one, right???

Pegasus Market is hilarious. There was no rhyme or reason to anything, but they still made it work. That kind of completely wack humour is great, i wish there were more dramas like that lol. But Chief Kim does remain my favourite, it was a different kind of humor but it worked sO well with the characters and the plot. The writer is super good, i'm really looking forward to his next drama in February

The concepts are always great! And the cinematography and music tends to be great too, even if the plot doesn't always reach its full potential. This year was pretty ok, we had TKEM and TOTNT, both of which were visually stunning, but lacked a bit in some parts tbh. Next year seems promising already tho, there's quite a few dramas already announced!! I'm especially looking forward to The One Day Destruction Entered The Front Door Of My House (super long title lmao), Island, and My Roomate is a Gumiho. There don't seem to be any grand fantasy Goblin or Hotel Del Luna type dramas announced yet, but I hope there will be some
Chief Kim sparked my love for office team drama dynamics! It's still the best I've ever seen in that genre by far tbh. The closest I got to the level of fun I had with Chief Kim was with Pegasus Market, I loved that one, it had me in stitches. I haven't seen Kkondae Intern yet! I was waiting for it to finish airing, but then I forgot about it lol

The whole mystical-unreal-supernatural/sci-fi/fantasy type genre has endless potential because it's not bound by the rules of reality, which means it can be super interesting. There really should be more, it's top notch stuff :'))) LOTBS is going pretty well, it's cute in an extremely kdrama way and I love it, i've been binge watching it like crazy lol
As for Chief Kim, it's legend tier stuff. Far too underrated for a drama of its caliber! I'm waiting till next year to watch it again when i've forgotten some of the plot lol

Same, if there is and the romance isnt too prominent i might consider watching it

Yooo we really have the same taste!!! Im really loving what i've seen of Legend of the Blue Sea so far, im excited for the rest of it :D Fantasy romance is one of the ultimate combinations imo, i can never get enough! I feel like i'm going to run out soon :')
Chief Kim is one of the only 2 dramas i ever rewatched, i honestly love it. The perfect mix if heartwarming and hilarious, with an award-winning (literally) bromance. What's not to love?

I actually ended up starting a romance drama lol, I started Legend Of the Blue Sea because TOTNT left me hungry for fantasy :')))) hope nobody has to die for the romance this time haha
But yes, non-romance is often rlly good, in fact Chief Kim is my favourite drama ever and it isn't romance focused

This is probably my most anticipated drama for 2021 so far!! I've loved everything i've wayched from this screenwriter so my expectations are really high

Song sampling is pretty common, yea. And it's pretty interesting to hear, bc producers really can take inspiration from anywhere lol

I love the potential dramas of that genre have, you can really do anything once you discard the rules of reality. Here's to a 2021 filled with good fantasy dramas! They better feed us well or im going to learn korean and write some angry complaint letters lol

I gotta say though, I LOVE the soundtrack. The theatrical and dramatic violins??? The choral aspects in most of of the tracks? The way they wound Lee Yeon's theme/the main theme into so many different tracks in different ways??? The way the character tracks work so well with their respective characters?? Incredible
