Title Between Us
Wasn't expecting to rehash all of UWMA and so much Dean/Pharm, even though I knew it was a concurrent story. I just thought D/P would be background characters. It's been a couple of years since I watched UWMA - are they rewriting the first meetings/first sex scenes? I can't remember. I see talk of an uncensored sex scene... where di y'all see that? My version was pretty tame, although some intensity during the questions.

Title Eternal Yesterday Spoiler
This continues to surprise me. The story has not gone anywhere I expected from the first episode on. I'm loving it and loving the boys and their relationship. I loved Mitchan's WHOA when he saw Koichi's....
I don't really understand the need for this "prequel". Yes, we got a little more backstory, but none of it truly fleshed out the other film in a way that brought new revelations. I got all this info from the sequel. We knew they fooled around, we knew Mon "liked" girls, we knew Oak was gonna cross dress to impress him. So why the need for this? I'm guessing the director wants to cut them both together to tell a fuller story???

Mon and Oak continue to improve as actors, although they really need new material. The multiple short series they've been in together never truly give them a chance to show their chops.

So these boys are in 8th grade... 13 years old and having this much sex. Wow. I was still reading comic books and watching Batman, but I guess somebody's gotta be doing it (and apparently doing it 3 or 4 times a day, according to the used condoms).

No need to watch again.

Finally DROPPED. I just didn't care about anyone except NAME. None of the other characters or story lines were interesting to me. The whole "8" plot made no sense. Watching people chat on MSN (and being told every time they use it that it's MSN) is just boring. A whole lot of nothing. Bye bye.

Sorry, I should have said Italian. It's called "Prisma"

I agree. They don't seem to know how to write a love story without following a formula and that formula really messes up any kind of sci-fi or other kind of plot device. (Like the recent Vice Versa where the supernatual plot was virutally forgotten for 8 episodes) While I'm sick and tired of all those tropes and cliches, I would put up with them if they had good reason and were maybe introduced in a new and fresh manner. For example. it is perfectly reasonable that someone might get hurt while the world is ending. So having one guy tend to another's wounds makes sense. But getting a splinter and turning it into a medical crisis is ridiculous.

I am VERY critical. There is so much good tv out there, that I know there could be good BL. (Just finished Season 2 of Young Royals. And am watching a Spanish BL that proves you can write compelling, layered, multi-dimensional characters and plots without dumbing it down). Try it, Thailand.
On Till the World Ends Nov 10, 2022
WTF? I really love trying to expand the world of BL and bringing in supernatural elements and radical acts of God to try to tell new and compelling stories. But maybe TRY to write compelling stories then.

I DO believe that some people would not trust the government nor believe that the world was going to end - even though the moon crashing into earth is a pretty hard thing to ignore. But most of Ep1 is about going to college. When the world is ending? Really?

And in what would certainly be a time of crisis, Golf meanders around like he's comatose and has his friend continually spy on his GF. Really? This is your focus?

You know what does NOT make compelling TV? Watching a guy stare at his phone for half an episode. I HOPE they are playing this for comedy, but it's not working. I'll give it one more episode, but pretty sure this is gonna drop like a hot meteor.

Cute, light, fluffy but adorable and entertaining. I enjoyed this. The relationships, both as roommates and coworkers, felt real to me. They were allowed to bond slowly and develop feelings naturally. Even though Ho Joon was the arrogant prince from the start, he wasn't so over the top that you could not believe he had goodness within him. He was more playful in some ways than the normal enemy to lover. Things did change abruptly in 7 & 8 where we went from one drunken kiss to "I like you" to boyfriends and jealousy all in a heartbeat. Could have maybe added one more episode to flesh that part out. The hidden secret and Jae Yoon's reactions to that were also a bit forced. Naturally, the resolution was far too easy and quick. But all of these were slight mis-steps in an otherwise quality production. I did take issue with the "but we're both men" dialogue. Adult males shouldn't have to question that in 2022, even in SK. Both actors did a good job, even better than their previous coupling (but the make-up department forgot that Ho Joon was not a vampire. They still had him caked in white pancake makeup). Seo Jae Yoon seems VERY comfortable playing gay (not that there's anything wrong with that). And that last kiss had a glimmer of tongue in it for a fraction of a second. Way to go boys! It was light enough for a rewatch, though I'm not sure it would be high on my list as all in all it felt like a sweet, but slight, production.

anyone else confused by him calling him his boyfriend in the second to last episode ? I was so confused by that..…
Yeah, 0-100 in less than one episode.

I'm so bored by this. Repetitive dialogue. Dialogue that does not move a scene forward, nor reveal any new character insights. Rehashing the same things over and over. There is so much good stuff to work with here, but the writers are failing. I'll only watch on 1.75x from here on.

This was better than average, but not by much. Liked the "mystery" elements, though as many have noted the execution of the mystery could have been better. After a while, I found myself paying less and less attention to the mystery, since they were not giving me good cliffhangers. It became secondary to the detriment of the series overall. But they tried to add something more than the norm and I give them credit for that. I liked the slow burn in this main relationship. Their progression felt natural to me, as did Neo/Louis'. Good performances all around due largely to the fact that the writers tried to create 3-dimensional characters, with flaws and contradiction in their character. First really shone, but Neo/Louis were able to create different characters here than their last pairing and I loved them even more here. Even AJ and Pawin impressed me with what little they had to do. Music was a stand-out. The simple piano piece in the last episode when the two boys are in bed and Aye can no longer hold back was beautiful and romantic. Doubtful I'll watch again, as the mystery element is spoiled for me now and while I liked all the boys, this the romance isn't compelling enough to get me to return. A good effort worth an initial watch.

Not a big fan of animal to human (or teddy bear or...) but this was cute so far and the boys are beautiful.

Yet another slow-moving Japanese BL with a stoic, non-verbal lead... and I'm in love again. I cried, but not at the moment you expect. When Koichi stood up to the bully and Oumi said he was always in front of that open door protecting him... beautiful. Can't wait to have my heart broken in every episode.
On Roommates of Poongduck 304 Oct 20, 2022
These two are playing off each other very well. Naturally, they're comfortable, in their 2nd series together. I like them better in this one. More natural. Both are so charming and appealling. I love all the side-long glances at each other. The slow dawning of realization. It's cute. Nothing wildly crazy or original (although I like the office setting), but I'm enjoying.

That's just, but how- Peat's performance is so good and Sky's character is cute and relatable, how can you not…
It's just my personal feeling, but I've always felt like he was forcing his reactions. Nothing seems natural to me. All very calculated and "doing what he is told to do". I don't believe any of his reactions. I'm glad you're enjoying his performance, but it's just not hitting me the right way.
On Love in the Air Oct 20, 2022
I'm bored. This has always been just okay but I feel like there's nothing new or really interesting, especially in the second portion of the series. While Fort is gorgeous, I never really cared for Peat's performance from the start so now that he's the focus it's even less appealing to me. I'm gonna drop for now. Maybe I'll binge the last few eps on 1.5x after they are done, but I'll probably just look at pics of Peat instead.

There's nothing horrible here, I just don't care. It's over the top in all ways but I still don't like either main character, so I could not care less if they get together.

Can we add totally useless bodyguards to the trope list? What's the sense in having bodyguards if they are so pathetic? (even in a comedy)
On Hard Love Mission Oct 19, 2022
Not horrible, but not for me. Some absolutely ridiculous forced plot points. Low-budget/amateur production. Yoshi is a cutie, but that's not enough to keep me around, even if it's only for 4 episodes. I will say grabbing the wrong towel was funny, but I wish he had taken. a peek. DROPPED
On My Tooth Your Love Oct 17, 2022
Cute. Unusual premise. Adult males playing adult males (although one has a dozen stuffed toys on his bed!). Not much happens in each ep. Both eps I said out loud, 'That's it?!" But still cute and fun so far. Andy is GORGEOUS!

After todays episode, I never want to see Neo play comedy again. He's so good in the dramatic scenes. I've loved him since 'Cause You're My Boy, but he just keeps getting better.
