I know I'm in the minority, but this is way to slow for me. Ep 10 and we're still revisiting the same things. If I hadn't invested so much time in this already, I would drop. Cake sleeps late. Who cares? It does not reveal a thing about their characters or their relationship. So many scenes about the banal. Have you eaten? Where shall we eat? Go take a shower. Who cares? They're still acting like 8 year olds instead of college kids. Santa is phenomenal, but he needs much better material than this.

I loved this one. Yes, it had flaws, but there was something so raw and honest about the characters that I just forgave them all. Super cute, fluffy, sweet, tender, innocent and fun. Very little really happens. They rehash the same "problems" over and over. Not much progresses, the characters don't change a lot But Amagi's dorky, awkward vulnerability and Takara's stoic exterior somehow were perfect for me. They were actually good at communicating, even though lack of communication was basically the major problem in every episode. They both spoke their truths fairly easily after the initial hiccups and their insecurities were very relatable. Very Japanese so if you love that like I do, you should probably enjoy it. I'll rewatch, although probably just the occasional episode, so I can spend time with these two innocent lovebirds.

I have had the same thought MANY times reading some of these comments. I'm sure many of them are real, people who just love all things BL. But yes, I think a lot of them are either marketing execs or paid posters who are brought in to up the average of each show. Why MDL is so important to them is the real mystery to me. The audience here can't be significant to the overall ratings of a show, nor really help bring in money to the producers/networks - but I've seenof... shall we say "questionable" praise.

I do not understand how this is the franchise that keeps on going when other BL series that deserve more seasons are ignored. I watched the first ep and could barely stop myself from screaming. Amateur all the way around. NOT INTERESTED.

I gave it 3 eps, but this is not my cup of tea. DROPPED

Eh. I thought the first two eps were slow. They could have done all that backstory and set up in one episode. They rehash things and draw out the scenes too long for a sit-comy show. But the leads are likeable (as actors, even when the characters are not). It's got some decent comedic moments. Will be more interesting once the BL kicks in.

I don't watch trailers, so I just go by what's on MDL, but thanks for the info! I guess I'll give it 2 eps and see if I can stick it out for more.

First ep was okay. Low budget and slightly amateurish but not bad. Glad it's only 2 eps.

Not bad, but just not holding my interest. I like the Handsome Gardener, but find the ghost family too stiff (i'm sure they are directed to be this way). It's all a little flat and slow. DROPPED

Like the brothers and Bua, but not really interested in the rest. Very over the top like most soap opera/lakorn. The evil second wife is bordering on ridiculous. The setting is unique and an interesting time to set a LGBTQ+ story (although that seems to be a VERY small portion of this overall story). I don't think I can sit through the melodrama and soap opera elements, so I'll probably drop and wait for a BL edit.

I was kinda bored by the end of the first ep. Felt like they could have cut that in half and I still would have gotten what I needed for backstory. Editing needs to be tightened up A LOT. I'll give it one more ep and see, but it would really have to pick up the plot and pacing to keep me interested beyond that.

I agree. This is first and foremost a BL, with mystery elements. That's why I forgive the mis-steps in the mystery plotting. I know it wasn't top of mind when they were writing. But it does add a nice flavor and new element to a BL. I'm not in any way saying this is a great series, but for a BL I appreciate what they're TRYING to do. Let's face it, if BL writers were great writers, they probably wouldn't be writing BL shows.

I'm a swimmer, but I didn't even notice. Was too eagerly awaiting the chest shots to even think about his technique.

What was so memorable about the scene? Yes, it was racy for tv, but that's about it.
