The preview for Episode 13 makes me wonder if Nut has known all along that he'd be able to find Tarn if he tried, and has held off because he didn't want to lose Tofu.
I could go on a rant about Prib. Poor Nut -- he takes his family on vacation ten hours from home and still can't escape his fag hag. While this is a series about miracles, within the story's universe there's no reason for Prib to believe that Nut being at Tarn's bedside will make Tarn regain consciousness. Even seeing how happy Nut is now, she interfered in his relationship with Tofu mostly for the sake of her own vanity. And the guilt trip she laid upon Tofu is unforgivable.
Episode 13 brings the return of Jan. While it seems obvious that she is behind Tarn's injury, what's occurred to me is that this "mystery" story thread isn't even necessary. The series is compelling just from exploring the complexity of a boy's struggle with his sexuality and his relationship with his mother, along with his awakening love for another boy who loves him unconditionally. Tarn could have been in a coma because of a car accident or something and his role in the story of Nut and Tofu could be the same.
As for the ending, I have thought about this image and have a theory:
I think Tofu will meet Tarn in a dream while both are unconscious, and Tarn will acknowledge that Nut's truest love is Tofu, so Tarn will ask Tofu to promise to take care of Nut and then he will let Tofu be the one who lives on.
Just another prediction/wish, if the opening song scenes are supposed to be shown in the series, then we'll be…
I've been thinking that too. Plus the music video where Job and In sing the theme song as a duet will look pretty stupid if the series ends up putting Nut with Tarn.
I wish this had three episodes over each weekend because it would be the perfect counterbalance to "Miracle of the Teddy Bear". Until this came along all I could think of is "Teddy Bear".
Some scenes in ep 12 that might foreshadow the ending. Love that some aspect of the series is meta, e.g. How Nut…
There is also this quote from Episode 11, where Tofu is thinking to himself while comforting Nut:
"I never realized that my backstory had everyone upset. This must be why he loved to hug me when he was sad. It wasn't because he loved the teddy bear, but because I represented someone he loved dearly."
After all, from the start the teddy bear was intended to be Tarn's stand-in whenever Nut felt sad or lonely.
On the other hand, I think Nut's relationship with Tofu has gone so much farther and deeper than the one he had with Tarn, so it would be weird to me if he dumped Tofu just because Tarn is back in his life.
With this episode So is starting to lose my support, and I'm realizing that maybe Mon and Saint really are endgame. I wish So all the best as he proceeds with that "life already laid out for him".
And the preview for this week faked us out bigtime with Mickey kissing Q.
After Gen Y 2 I expected not to like this but so far it has exceeded expectations nicely. The first two episodes breezed by.
Is Star Hunter going to put the first few episodes on YouTube for free and then charge a membership fee if you want to see the rest? I heard that somewhere. And I heard that the price will be steep.
I wouldn’t pay $10/month to stay with this but as a free ride it’s cute.
You are right. Chins Dad wanted to say i love you but changed it to just the emoji.Haha yes. We dont know if its…
I've been assuming that the same actor played both brothers. It was a cute thing to do for Pat. He loses U, but still gets a "U" of his own. And U's bro has a swagger that U doesn't have lol.
So, the three main boys all get their happy ending, including U with Chin, and even though I watched an unsubbed version it looks like Chin's dad suddenly had a change of heart and texted his son to say something like "I'm sorry".
And Pat wasn't left by himself either. He now has a chance with ... U's twin brother(?).
Y'all be reaching too much and over panicking for no reason... he has reiterated constantly that he is over Tarn…
So many clues point to a Nut-Tofu endgame. From the official series poster and publicity photos to the fact that the actor playing Tarn is acknowledged only as a supporting player in the opening credits. And it would be a cruel joke on Nut for Teddy to do so much good work in supporting him and showing unconditional love, only to disappear and leave Nut newly devastated over another loss of his beloved.
You know what I like most about this show? How no one is afraid to use the word GAY. Not the usual vague 'I like…
This series transcends the usual BL cliches although Gen and Song did have their “fall into one another’s arms” moment that now seems more like a winking acknowledgement of the show’s roots.
I’m guessing that the reason Nut broke up with Tarn was because Sib forced him to. So Teddy became a reminder of both their love and Nut’s guilt. Whenever Nut hugged Teddy he had two reasons to cry.
Ep 10: When Nut lost his marbles back there I thought we were gonna lose Tofu in some accident. what he did was…
I'm grateful for your eloquent defense of Nut here and elsewhere in the comments.
I have a feeling there will be a cathartic moment for him, and as always Tofu will be there to give support. (Tofu's unconditional love for Nut is a miracle in itself.)
I still wonder, why Taohu has Neung's appearance. Nat liked him yes, but he experienced real love and relationship…
This is a major question for me too. I hope they will explain it.
It’s also strange to me that Nut would not be in constant awe that this mysterious Tofu who appeared suddenly in his life looks and sounds exactly like his high school crush.

Both boys are so damn cute!

It’s strange to me that a series with so many fantasy elements has had more of a real impact on me than anything else I can remember in the BL genre.
