Sab is and will forever remain my favorite character lol Idk I just love him so much, he's such a BAB. I'm still…
I love your assessment of the series.
I agree ... Sab is an unsung hero. I hope he gets a man of his own. That confrontation with Sandee sets up a potential "enemies to lovers" storyline that would be so sweet, but I'm thinking it won't happen. But Sab deserves someone of his own.
So far, this season has utilized Mark and Kit in a way that I really like .. I just hope they don't muck it up later.
They are an active presence in each episode, and it's all done without a stupid jealousy plot or a crazy misunderstanding -- which just about any other series would resort to. The fluff factor is pitched just right. I hope the later episodes won't spoil this with silly dramatics.
I'm all about evil Sandee. I hope it turns out that his plot involves he himself being attracted to someone and it's not just about him trying to interfere in others' relationships.
“From a Distance Spring Is Green”, which I started out loving but gradually became disappointed by certain plot directions. Then the hate-watching started once they forced a relationship pairing where none should have been. I stuck around to see how they’d further ruin it.
“2gether”, which was great until the main couple were finally in a relationship and awkwardness set in. My persistence in hate-watching was rewarded by the now-legendary high-5 at the end.
“Win Jamie’s Heart”, for its hilarious attempt at romanticizing the unbridled lust off the characters. Each new episode upped the ante.
“A Love So Beautiful”, Kdrama edition. The Cdrama version is one of my favorite series. Once I realized the Kdrama was softening everything including the ML, I kept watching only due to curiosity over what they’d botch next.
If you were to show a couple of minutes of random footage to a friend they'd immediately comment on how amateurish the production is. And maybe so. But I gave it a chance and I like it -- especially the tension between Luke and Calix. Yo buddy! They're both such hotheads, I can't imagine them even being friends, let alone kissing. (Actually, I won't be too surprised if we don't see them kiss. But I'll be hella disappointed. And those two in a sex scene would set my TV on fire.)
Cairo's smile lights up the world and Juanmig has that androgynous beauty that drives the girls wild, but their pairing seems more conventional and therefore more predictable.
Evil Sandee ftw! I think he followed Kit to the library because he noticed that Kit's medical textbook was open…
You might be right. So, maybe it was Mark asking how Pha is doing. I just figured the text had to be something that made Sandee curious about what Kit is up to. I'll have to watch again because it flew past for me too.
Episode 2 Review: I saw someone comment that this show is stuck in 2017, and I couldn't agree more. While this…
Evil Sandee ftw! I think he followed Kit to the library because he noticed that Kit's medical textbook was open to a page about brain illness, and at that moment he also noticed that Kit got a text from Pha. So I believe he was on a reconnaissance mission.
Tong is indeed ludicrous. I will enjoy seeing the tables turned later in the series when he finally wants to declare his love for Pok but things are suddenly more complicated. The tension is gone between the two of them, and the change in dynamic happened off-screen between seasons so I can't totally accept it.
Wayu, Thanu, and Phai are the least interesting to me.
Oh, Episode 2 made me sit up and take notice. Looks like things will get deliciously messy, so count me in.
I love the diabolical Sandee! I mean, really, what *is* he up to? He's a double-dealer if there ever was one.
Wayu didn't break into tears either. A big plus! While he seems to bring out the doting mother in many, I expect this insipid character will remain my least favorite in the franchise. It's amazing to me that Star Hunter have decided to build not one, but two entire series around this helpless child's need for a daddy ... oops, I mean *relationship*.
I don't think tying someone's shoe is a sign they're helpless. It's more of a sign you're watching out for them.…
Wayu is as one-dimensional as a character can get. Once again it seems every episode will feature a new Pity Party for him, and half of the other characters will be there each time to tie his shoes and change his diaper. I'm so disappointed that the new season looks like it will be a retread of the first.
Please, no ... another season of Wayu moping and weeping rivers of tears. Last time I ended up fast-forwarding through his scenes. Wayu has to be one of the least compelling leads of any series -- an insipid, helpless child. The way the other characters all fuss over him, it's old already. The writers have a chance to do something different this season and I hope they get this boring crisis out of the way early. (Seems unlikely, though.)
Pha suddenly collapsing makes me think his disappearance was for health reasons.
It's good to see that Sandee still has his dark side ... is he trying to break up Wayu and Thanu so he can have Thanu for himself, or for his friend?
The tension between Pok and Tong has evaporated. That was an interesting component to their pairing in the first season. Maybe the kid who came rushing up to them in the restaurant will be a new source of troubles.
And yet, another episode of Sean knows, because I'm pretty sure he does. So many things to talk about, like White…
I know someone posted a spoiler on the book plot and that in the book "Sean knows," but that conversation between Sean and his girlfriend seemed to come from a place where he had legitimate puzzlement about what was going on with "Black". For it to be otherwise, I can't think of why he would put on a show like that for her. Maybe he'd do it for the other guys in the garage but not with her. I don't think she even knows about what Sean and the boys have really been up to. (Further evidenced by Yok's request to speak with Sean confidentially about Dan the Graffiti Man rather than let Sean's girlfriend overhear.)
I hope Sean *doesn't* know because that will make it more exciting to watch him struggle with his feelings for a guy he had previously viewed only with hostility. For Sean to simply be able to finally get with his crush seems boring by comparison.
I know people hate the product placements, but they do pay the bills, and I think GMMTV has gotten a lot better at integrating them into the story. So, sure, we had to get a good look at the brand of toothpaste and toothbrush, but it was only a few seconds. I think back to a series like "Kiss Me Again" when all the action would be on pause while the characters stopped to enjoy a refreshing bottle of tea, and I'm glad they've managed to be less in our faces about it.
I'm contempling hard about starting this now or wait till it's finished and binge watch it
More and more I find that I like watching a series while it's airing because the MDL comment section is reacting at the same time I am ... but there is that tradeoff of having to wait and wait between episodes.

This is very cute.
And I have to say that I certainly agree! 😏
