At the rate this is going it will be the best youth drama to ever come out of Thailand. How nice to have high expectations going in, only to have them exceeded.
Does anyone know why MDL really doesn't have Vietnamese content? It's really a shame.
It’s a shabby excuse but at least it’s better than the answer I got a few months ago, which was that they’re worried that adding another country would overload the database..
Episode 4 was mainly “Prince and Mikey” fluff, with the prince looking suitably stunning in black shirt and trousers. (Loved seeing him in a tank top again too.) Adrian won’t be winning any Oscars but he sure knows how to sell every moment that Zeyn is gazing lovingly at Mikey.
I don’t know if Mikey’s boasting about his mouth and tongue skills was improv or in the script, but it’s moments like that that make me look forward to this every week.
In the next episode we get Zeyn in a swimsuit — our reward for sticking with the series to the halfway point.
A lot of Cdramas use a “face-smoothing” effect that makes the skin of the actors look like glowing wax. What I noticed in Episode 2 is that one actor in Enchante, and only one, has been given that treatment, and it’s Theo/Book.
It’s most obvious in any scene where the shot jumps from him to Force and back again, but once you see it you can’t help noticing in every one of his scenes and it’s damn distracting.
Another episode and another round of Sehee putting Yeondoo in harm's way, again tricking her into getting stranded someplace where others are unlikely to find her. At least Yeondoo wasn't drunk this time.
Sehee is a whack job. This makes it especially annoying to watch her doing all this stuff because I know by the end of the series she will be redeemed. Everyone will forgive her, and if there's a Season 4 (god please no) she'll be just one more member of the little sewing circle of reformed Yeondoo haters.
For now, though, she's so dumb she doesn't realize that the guy she's desperate to win back is the one person who is most onto her scheming.
I fast-forwarded through the scene with Yu Na and Seung Hyun because they're clearly destined to become a couple, proving that (a) stalking someone relentlessly can succeed in the end, and (b) you can never underestimate the creativity of the people who write this dreck. Seung Hyun deserves so much better. Watching him paired up with Yu Na will only make me hurl.
But yes, I will keep watching until the end. What can I say - I like to torture myself lol.
Episode 4 locked this in for me. FahThorn are still the least compelling couple but their vibe got better. AiiSaen are my faves. It isn’t credible that Saen wouldn’t tell Aii why he was running late, though.
I’m a little annoyed by the “corrupt coach” side story. We can all predict how it will go when the two teams play in the “big game” so there’s no suspense. But that’s the only real downside so far.
For real! I have always been a little disappointed in GMMTV because they make so much money off of gay characters…
That whole scene moved me so much! Such beautiful background music, and when White caught Sean’s eye and Sean gave him that little nod of acknowledgement …. Goosebumps! Then Sean walking toward White under that giant rippling pride flag and taking his hand… never has a BL series foretold a future couple so magnificently.
I thought an NFT is like bitcoin but applies to unique objects or artistic works, like music or paintings, or, if you’re Melania Trump, hats from your hat collection. But I’m still trying to figure it out myself. Seems like a trendy term for “collectible”.
It truly is horrendous…. and horrendously entertaining. In the first scene and elsewhere I’m guessing that Adrian went off-script and filled in some extra dialog (“I can’t wait to work you out,” indeed….) but to me even that is adorable. And I admit that I’d be a lot more critical if I didn’t think he was so cute. This series has exposed how shallow I can be if they dangle a world-class hottie in front of me.
Episode 3 does drag a lot. Conversations go on for too long, making me wonder if they purposely padded the script to take up time. But through it all they still managed to deliver on the fan service, making it three for three in getting Adrian shirtless or in a tight tank top, and I will be back next week rooting for a fourth. :)
I thought the kissing scene between Valen and Kaitoon was beautifully done, even though leading up to it I don’t think we were given much evidence that Kaitoon was attracted to Valen that way.
Valen’s character is interesting to me. Even in that scene, despite how much he longed for Kaitoon he still recoiled when Kaitoon went to touch him. And I totally get it. The guy has low self-esteem, so part of him would refuse to believe that Kaitoon would ever want him. His instinct for self-protection wants to reject the other guy before the other guy rejects *him*.
And part of him was still disbelieving enough after the kisses that he would still test Kaitoon by pushing him into the pool and making him angry.
As for Peat and the puppy, I’m not so sure that Peat didn’t just take the dog somewhere and release him into the wild.
As a french it is really interresing the view of my country Thai people have ! Really interessing and so wrong…
Aside from providing a location for Theo to relocate to for a few years I’ll be surprised if the series is clever enough to leverage the French aspect very much. So far he could have been in Spain or Bulgaria or that trusty go-to the United States and only a few of the script details would need to be changed.
Not bad. So far it's a bit dull and unoriginal, but no cringe, which is good. Akk is a bit of a featureless character,…
And once again we see the house from “Brothers”. (I know it’s been used in other series too but the connection to “Brothers” makes me the most wistful.) =)

I like the OST a lot.
