i agree with everything except the kissing part, granted he showed pete the video when crying. but he had to have…
And what I thought later was that after Valen alerted King it would have taken King several minutes to leave the dorm and get over to the academic building. Sean and Pete should have had enough time to finish their "bizness", iron their clothes and take a shower. :)

This is #2 on MDL's list of top airing Kdramas!

I can't remember ever seeing a BL on any of those lists. (But I admit I also don't study them closely.)

I'm utterly confused.

How do I get a job with coworkers as cute as Milk's?

They need to reward my patience with at least one scene of Milk shirtless.

The scene between White and his mother was so well done. When White said his final line before leaving, I felt…
For me, this and "You're My Sky" are the two powerhouse BL series running right now -- completely different from one another but just oozing with greatness.

I wonder if ITSAY was a turning point for the Thai production companies. Like maybe they saw what kind of masterpiece is possible in the BL genre and decided to put some hard work and real money into producing something meaningful.

I include "Bad Buddy" on that list. I'm sure other people would have their own examples.

I've gotten together a small group of folks here on MDL who usually don't post because they are wary of dealing…
I can understand how you feel. Over at "Rainbow Prince" I'm in the minority for enjoying it, but I like that I still get to say what I think and some people agree with me, so I don't feel alone.

It's true that it's more fun if almost everyone is on the same groove, like with "Bad Buddy" and "Not Me", but that's super rare, and unless people who like "Gen Y 2" are being personally attacked for saying it I hope they'll shrug off the opposing opinions and continue to express themselves.

I have to say that I also think it's disingenuous to try to invalidate the opinions of people who dislike this series, dismissing them as haters who dump on everything. I bet most of the people who post here negatively about Season 2 actually enjoyed Season 1 and were ready to embrace Season 2.

Speaking only for myself, I think this season is such a botched job that I wonder if Star Hunter was just cashing in on the popularity of Season 1. It makes me a little angry, and if I may speculate a bit, I think a lot of the piling-on that you see here is from other fans of Season 1 who feel similarly let down.

A poorly done Season 2 of any series can have a retroactive effect on its first season, suddenly making the Happy Ever After look like a Happy Just For Now. Take, for instance, Mark and Kit. The storyline they've been given this season just doesn't ring true to me -- it rings like something thrown together in a story conference, and it's a bit insulting.

Anyway -- if someone posts stupid rants that get on your nerves, just block them. And if they get personal with an attack, report the comment and get it deleted -- then block them. Reporting abuse on here does get a response, and fast! It's something I'm grateful for as a member.

Finally, there is definitely a loss of sorts when you seek to surround yourself only with people who agree with you. I've read some of your episode recaps and I've been fascinated by your perspective. In some ways it feels like we're watching two different shows! But I like knowing that there are people here like you who are articulate, thoughtful, and passionate about something we all definitely love together, which is BL.

Yok bringing Dan to the garage was like when one of your (straight) guy friends gets his first girlfriend in high school and starts bringing her around all the time, because "Guys, she's so cool!"

It was such a teenager move and I'm glad Sean called him out on it. At least when Sean finally agreed to include Dan it was his own choice, not Yok forcing the issue.

I kinda feel like Sean deserved dat beating from Black, especially after what he did to Yok... but damn his eyes…
Yok was reckless bringing Dan to the hideout without checking with anyone first. He should have sold them on the idea *before* doing it instead of after, when it is too late. When Yok came walking in and I realized what was going down my first thought was, "Dude, don't be thinking with your d*ck." Which he was.

Dan might not be a snitch (*might* not be), but only Yok has spent any time with him. And it's still a little suspicious that he just happened to be on the scene to rescue Yok when Yok was being chased.

And those dudes with the guns showed up soon after Dan had made his first visit to the garage. Now, I'm pretty sure that was because of Todd, but it continues to bother me that the series is making Todd the villain. It's too easy. I'm hoping for a clever twist in that regard.

Wait, is Non actually the endgame for Khaitoon? Is that what they've been warehousing him for? Because otherwise…
You're so right! Any bets on whether that kiss between Khaitoon and Non gets interrupted at the last second (probably by Valen)? ^_^

I'll be shocked if Non ends up the winner in the end, but also impressed by the audacity of the writers. He's not a very interesting character though, so it would be a hollow victory.

Khaitoon and King would be a nice pairing. And it would drive Valen nuts lol.

But the final blow was when Pete and Sean emerged from hiding, adjusting their clothes. With that, Pete lost any points he'd earned from resisting Sean in the beginning, and the kissing video was no longer needed as evidence of his infidelity.

Just to clarify, there's no "lez couple" - June and Bill are both played by male actors, although in June's case…
Ikr! That threw me off. If the actor is a female then someone should make that correction on her bio on here.

It would be a little disappointing if that turns out to be the case. I've been thinking it was so cool that they had a trans character with none of the other characters making a fuss over it, including Toy.

Just to clarify, there's no "lez couple" - June and Bill are both played by male actors, although in June's case there was that old photo of him that Toy was carrying around where June was wearing a girl's school uniform. So maybe June is trans.

Right the musical numbers are really good and cover up the sort of cheesy bad acting thing the show has going…
Pretty soon Zafar will realize that half of the palace has made its way to Manila. 😂

I’m guessing Marcus is there because he misses the prince, but it would be more interesting he was sent there by Zafar.

I think he was the guard who was having a kind of fling with the prince in an early episode.

okay Valen doing that to Kaitoon was totally out of nowhere and with no reason.. Kaitoon didn't do anything wrong…
One thing I like about the writing for this series is how it has stayed true to the nature of Valen's character. He has such low self-esteem that it makes him the type of person to hurt others before they have a chance to hurt him. As soon as he told Kaitoon to never show his face around him again, you had to know he would never just leave it at that. He has the emotional health of an 8-year-old.

What I still don't get is why Kaitoon fell for him, to the point of being in tears even after he was the one who had been wronged. When he apologized to Valen I couldn't believe it.

I also like the twist with King and Peat. This episode's events didn't feel forced to me. The series has been doing a steady build-up to such a scene and a lot of us were worried that the season would end without an explanation for Peat's dodgy behavior.

On Love Area Part 2 Feb 20, 2022
Well, we can't say nothing happened in THIS episode! "Gen Y 2" should borrow these writers for their last few episodes. =)

Valen doesn't deserve Kaitoon. A relationship with Valen would be one drama scene after another with red flags all over the place. With that massive chip on his shoulder he should learn to love himself before he tries to love anyone else.

King is better off without Peat. Unfortunately, Peat's deception is the kind of thing that ruins a person for relationships for years to come.

This series will disappoint me if (a) Kaitoon takes Valen back after Valen inevitably learns that he got it all wrong, and (b) if King takes Peat back. I guess all those secretive phone calls that Peat was getting were from Sean, and all those evenings he was "busy" he was meeting up with Sean? Does meeting up with your "stalker" on the sly really make him a stalker? Face facts, dude - you're a cheater. You and Sean deserve each other.

Maybe Kaitoon and King should go out.

And poor June. Maybe he and Ice should hook up.

I dropped this after Ep 1, but skimmed through Ep 9 to see if I had missed anything. Couldn't stomach it. FF through…
How often on here when a decent series ends do you see comments after the final episode where people are saying they want a Season 2?

Has there ever been a Season 2 of anything that was as good as the first? Even "I Promised You The Moon" was a disappointment in light of what ITSAY delivered.

With "Gen Y 2", when I take a step back and realize we've been dragged through nine whole episodes of this dreck and Wayu and Thana STILL haven't even kissed ...

Star Hunter really blew it with this one. If their guys don't want to kiss other guys on camera then they should stop putting them in BL dramas. They're ruining their own brand.

For me the highlight of Episode 6 was hearing that Adrian can sing (and in three different songs). Until now I'd been thinking that his lack of participation was a little awkward, seeing that he's one of the leads and all.

His voice is quite nice and natural, and it blends well with Eurwin's in their "Here To Stay" duet -- a song that for me is the first in the series to go beyond sounding merely pleasant to being memorable. When the duet ended without so much as a peck on the lips, though, it made me think that a legit kiss between Zeyn and Mikey later on is unlikely, which is too bad.

The double-entendre dialog ("It's really big") made another appearance, with Prince Zeyn insisting that he can take it all. I got the sense that the boys went beyond what was in the script and had a little more fun with it than was written.

The "ChukChuk" dance number was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen in a professional production, but Eurwin and Adrian did everything that was asked for the choreography. Talk about being good sports! I bet there's an amazing blooper reel for that.

Marcus is back, and who knew he'd look so dangerously hot. Damn, son!

At the very opening the "rating" was changed from G to R. That certainly raised my expectations, but I can't think of anything truly R-rated in the episode.

Now that "Here To Stay" has been introduced within the show there's a different song over the closing credits, probably titled "I'm Your Rainbow Prince".

The bad acting hardly phases me anymore. I'm too smitten with the visuals, I guess.

How can a series with so many attractive guys be so dull?

Theo's a nice guy and he's cute but not interesting enough as a character to be such a center of attention. He has confirmed that four guys who are pretending to be his friend are all lying to him. Why would he keep associating with them?

How many of you would just say "f#$% Enchante" and go with Gawin?Although if Sun comes back from Paris it would…
Right. There's no engine driving this plot, which is hardly there to begin with. They need to inject something interesting into the story.

Force/Akk has more charisma than any of the other actors. I haven't seen any aspects of Theo that make me understand why anyone would be obsessed with him.

They should have spent less money on the EFX for smoothing out Book's complexion and more on the script.
