Why would Todd perpetrate the deed on Black and then urge White to impersonate Black?
I think it's so that the gang wouldn't be aware that Black had been attacked in the first place, allowing Todd (who is undoubtedly linked to Tawi) to remain above suspicion for a while.
And, sorry to DanYok fans, I think Dan is sketchy. As someone has already pointed out, it was all too convenient for him to be there to help Yok when Yok was being chased. Maybe Dan will have a moment of truth where he absolutely must choose sides, in which case I hope he'll chose Yok's, but for now I'm not totally convinced about him.
I'm speechless, dead, deceased, gone. This episode was literally a mix of everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Main…
I don't know exactly why Sean kept the button from White's vest, but when the real Black shows up in a vest with all the buttons intact it could be a major clue to the switcheroo.
In the opening credits of Episode 1 there are three credits to "Beijing" cultural organizations. I don't know if those are the production companies or the distributors.
Was this made before the crackdown and then sold outside of China? How are people determining that this was made in Hong Kong?
The screenplay worked hard to get the dialog to where that line was possible. How can I not love such artful writing? LOL
After that the banana-riding jokes were a mere bonus.
Adrian is a good sport to let his body be the reason to watch parts 3 and 4. He might not be a gifted actor, but that stroll in a Speedo showed how he’s gifted in other ways.
All that, and they still found a way for Mikey to squirt pearls of suntan lotion over Zeyn’s bare chest.
Some of the characters are dubbed but not all, and not the mains.
You can tell who’s been dubbed by the change in acoustics in a scene. For example, during the parental confrontation with the principal, the principal and student were recorded live while the student’s mother was dubbed. Whenever she speaks the ambient sound deadens like it does when something is recorded in a studio.
Similarly, the scene with the bicycle gift wasn’t dubbed.
So far, for a drama with the word “kissable” in the title the actual kissing looks as sterile as what we get in most other KBLs. We’re not in “To My Star”s Korea anymore.
This is just OK for me. Yoon Seo Bin is totally adorable, but the shortness is just too much - 8 min isn't enough…
Finally got around to watching this and boy is it dumb. It’s always a warning sign when the “lore” of the supernatural being has so many random requirements and consequences.
Assuming the vampire is hundreds of years old, why does he still need a high school education? At this point he’d better be ranked first in his class.
And: “By the way, did I mention that I was almost kidnapped when I was younger?”
LOL … not the most creative way to fill in a back story.
The leads are super cute but I don’t feel any spark between them. I’m actually glad the episodes are short so it won’t take me too long to see how it ends.
This is the strangest BL series i think I’ve ever watched. I guess we’re supposed to get butterflies over a doctor who won’t leave a patient alone even on his days off? Pun’s creeper status was irrevocably confirmed when he stepped in just as Milk was about to remove his shirt and told the nurse to leave.
Now he’s ingratiating himself with Milk’s family. If the series was about a serial killer doctor the setup would be pretty much the same, right down to the all-too-serene smile that never seems to leave his face.
Yet I keep watching. Probably because Milk is so cute. :)
Not Valen's possessiveness reaching red flag levels for a moment. 😧 Can't say it was worth the wait, but it's…
Red flag absolutely! I appreciate how Valen is so starved for love that he’s like a kid needing constant reassurance, wanting to act out all the things that lovers are supposed to do together, but the phone-grabbing and physically restraining Kaitoon from leaving were a real buzzkill.
After that I actually expected Kaitoon to tell him that this whole relationship thing wasn’t a good idea after all, but I guess deep down Kaitoon must want that kind of relationship.
King and Peat appear headed for disaster. Peat didn’t take his meds before heading out for the day, so fasten your seatbelts. And maybe he’s having an affair.
Non continues to be a clueless doormat. I’m not sure if we’re supposed to feel sorry for him or think he’s a fool for not giving up on Kaitoon once and for all.
The fact that in the beginning of this ep Sean says he had found no reason to live until Black's plan and ends…
I like that instead of Sean knowing all along that White was impersonating Black, the realization comes later and is the catalyst for him to finally understand and act on his feelings.
Luke and Calix fall on top of each other so much now. It must be the only trope that the production company could afford from the Trope Store.
And, it will be a shame when that turns out to be the most intimate moment between them, but that's what I expect will prove true. The series could redeem itself from being one big tease by at least giving us a little payoff toward the end.
But as someone commented earlier, this director's style is to have the main couple part ways before anything can be consummated. He ought to reward those of us who stick with this messy series to the bitter end by at least giving us a little lip action.
When Saen took that sticky-note that says "Aii's" and put it on his chest, boy did my heart flutter. Those two are my favorite couple, and this episode was my favorite yet. The series does seem to be getting better and better.

More beach-trip fun next week!

But omg, all the dialog is dubbed and Cdrama dubbing is such a pet peeve of mine.

I’ll give it a go when it’s released, though.

With two episodes left, time is running out.
