I'm pretty sure that it was the real Zee who showed up at the last second, still putting his uniform on. Sprite had texted him when he felt sick.
I hope this sets up a nice twist once the boys' identities are revealed. Somebody will claim that Zee can't pass the tryouts because Sprite was impersonating him, but it will then be revealed (somehow) that the real Zee had been the one who played in the game after all. The attempt at sabotage will backfire in the most ironic way possible, by actually being the factor that seals the deal for Zee.
I think when the script was finished it got tossed into the air and then when they gathered the pages back up again they kept whatever random order resulted, with half of them getting lost.
This would explain why, with one episode left, we get a suddenly apologetic Mangkorn who’s done a complete 180 regarding Mawin, meaning he’s not only sorry but seems he wants to tap that Mawin ass. It’s a shame that their storyline got so neglected because Tae/Mawin is cute and I liked seeing Bigboss/Mangkorn in an aggressive role after he played a pushover in Hit Bite Love.
The dance-off was utterly inconsequential. What kind of stupid CEO purposely puts her inexperienced team up against an experienced one and expects any other outcome? And as bad as Araya’s crew is, Kian still felt so insecure that he wanted to cheat. The question is, did Kira really dope the water with the drug or did he think better of it at the last second? If anything, the Beyond The Star team seemed to dance better than they ever did. Kira tossed the evidence, though, and it will probably come back to bite him in the next episode whether he’s guilty or not.
Once again, though, the NC with Phupha and Tonnam is better than anything in a try-hard series like Playboyy. I wonder if the director noticed the good chemistry and decided to expand their roles, because as others have pointed out they get enough screen time to be mains.
I’m keeping my expectations low but I’m eager to see how the Tul-Trin-Copper triangle gets resolved. There’s no way we’ll see an NC scene featuring all three, right? Well, since I figure there’s still one iota of possibility I’m too curious to miss it if it happens.
I didn't much like him in season 1 to begin with, and I've been debating whether I really want to watch season…
Thank you for the award! Season 1 is wonderful, but unfortunately after seeing Season 2 there’s no way I could watch it again without thinking of what’s to come.
what was that? were they in love? or was it really brotherly love?
I think they meant to leave us wondering. I could argue both sides.
What I've been doing with this series is waiting for both parts of each chapter to be available before watching, and for this one I hadn't read the synopsis before I started. I was really faked out by the opening scene and the way the boys held hands on the way to school. I was a little flabbergasted when it became clear they were brothers.
This was what the production intended, of course. I wonder if they were trying to prove a point regarding all the "step-sibling" love stories that pop up in Asian drama.
Very impressed by the complex story and the performances. Like the other "chapters" in this series this one could have moved faster, but after Lucky Love this is my second favorite so far. We're always asking for BL to do more than deliver yet another trope-fest. Well, this one does!
Tonnam is my favorite, and it seems that he and Phupha are more than supporting characters since they get a lot of screen time.
Meanwhile there's Mangkorn and Mawin, or rather, there isn't. At this point we should send out a search party for those two. I was really looking forward to their enemies-to-lovers scenes, since Mangkorn seems particularly pent up and ready to let it out on Mawin. Roaarrrr!!
Assuming that Kita's assignment for the evil boss is to get close to Namo for some kind of sabatoge, with that pinkie-promise we're all set now for the fur to fly when Nathee sees it going down.
i can't help but feel like this show would be exactly the same if you removed the twin aspect and just had sprite…
Now that the actual Zee is all better I'm hoping he'll get into some adventures of his own, maybe by becoming involved with one of Sprite's enemies on the Jujitsu team. For now, though, you're right: the twin aspect is more or less a gimmick, and it has so much potential for expanding the story.
This one has hit its stride and things are happening. I think the side stories have been nicely developed and the main story is finally kicking into gear.
(And can I say that Sprite/"Zee" was such a Golden Retriever puppy in this episode!)
We're only 2/3 finished and it looks like the real Zee becomes a factor next week. (Unless that shot of him watching from the doorway will come at the very end of the next episode.)
Sorry to all the haters but this one is sweet and fun, and after a somewhat rough start it has settled into a pleasant groove. I'm starting to trust the writers not to mess it up as they bring it in for a landing. That's probably a little reckless of me, sure, but I guess I'm just in a Friday mood.
Complain as I might about the pacing and some puzzling details, I think this was at least a sincere attempt to tell a deep and compelling story. I can sense that the production team cared about the characters and wanted to do right by them.
The young actors especially did an amazing job. For me the series would have been worth watching just for them. Can't wait to see what they do next.

For me now, though, Tay and New can no longer get enough distance from being "Tay and New [TM]". They've become a brand-name commodity.
