Sorry if this is not related to this page but I am here spreading love for My Engineer that is probably the most…
To counteract the thieves they've now put all of the episodes up on the official channel, with English subtitles.
As Liz says, please support the official page! The series is clearly precious to the producers and actors who have worked so hard to bring it to us, and they love the positive reception it's getting. Let's reward them with lots of (official) views and thumbs-up.
I want to watch this but I don’t like draggy and serious love triangles. I don’t like love triangles at all...…
He's not overbearing or annoying, really -- he is always sweet and kind-hearted, but just a little over-confident. Personally I didn't *want* the FL to end up with him anyway.
The ML is more selfless and loving and therefore more deserving, so you don't feel terrible over the SML losing out. The SML knowingly fails to act when it's the perfect time to acknowledge the FL's feelings, and that decision is what eventually puts him in second place.
The ML just starts rough and unapproachable but his bark is much worse than his bite. The way his relationship with the FL thaws out and becomes special is the main pleasure of watching this drama.
I like it so far, although I think they overdo the FL's sense of confusion about the world once she awakens from her coma. I mean, 13 years isn't *that* long, and there are so many times where she freaks out over dumb stuff. Yes, she's mentally 17 years old, but any 17yo that I've known has been savvy enough to realize that some things will be surprising when you've been unconscious for over a decade, and you don't need to freak out.
That's really my only complaint so far, although I can see myself losing patience if the ML continues to be in the dark about the true identify of the mysterious woman who is now staying in their house for 30 days.
Can someone please tell me in which episode he will make the realization that she's Seo Ri? Thanks.
Thank you for posting this. I'm still new to watching dramas and you've answered a lot of questions that were knocking around in my brain for a while.
I recently realized that the Thai dramas that I'm watching are also being filmed as they're being broadcast, and unfortunately this has been impacted by the corona virus just like everything else. I'm hoping the product companies will just suspend filming until the virus situation has relaxed, but I also realize that many of the actors and crew will have other obligations based on contracts they've signed, and so the work may go unfinished forever.
It makes me wonder how many dramas will end up as one more casualty of the corona virus.
Wang Quan Sheng the true Wang Quang Sheng oh God this boy really changed my perspective about everything. But…
I believe he did die, and that was what made his body available to Li Zi Wei to take over. If a "host" character remains alive while their body is occurpied, we get to see them in the little room watching the action from inside. That never happened with Wang Quang Sheng so to me it confirms that he died.
I think the loss of his life is the saddest thing in the series, especially since (as you say) the "gay version" of him is completely forgotten in all the plot machinations.
I like that there was some LGBTQ representation in the series but it's unfortunate that it had to be with a character who commits suicide because he's gay. (It's been a while since I watched but I think his parents are also relieved when the "new" him proves to be straight? That's a very old-fashioned way for a script to turn out in 2019.)
I come here from time to time and break my own heart. I TRULY understand everyone's complaints about this show,…
Ikr? This is the only drama where I've seen this happen. It's as though the series actually made some people angry, and instead of dropping it like any other show they stuck with it, letting their fury grow, then in the end blamed the show for wasting their time.
At first they succeeded in driving down the rating but since then I'm glad to see it's gone up nicely.
Great review. I hadn't thought about how this drama subverts the usual kdrama cliches, but after you mentioned it I could think of a number of instances where it did just that. Reviews are at their best when they bring insights along with opinion, and that's what you do here. Nice job!
This was a drama with an operatic scope and a story and acting to match. For me it delivered on every level. I won't be surprised it if's remembered as one of the greatest Kdramas of the 2020's -- one that people will compare others to for years to come.
I'm confused as to why some people think there's an open ending. It seems pretty clear that Pun comes back to be with Sib, and Sib is all about that too.
