- It seems pretty clear that the cousin picked up on the fact that Wu Bi's relationship with Su Yu is more than platonic. Will that contribute to him wanting to eliminate Su Yu?
- What was that "English" brand of lube? I guess Wu Bi bought it overseas? Maybe that's why it was travel size, so he could take it with him on the plane. 😄

It's funny, isn't it? At the beginning there were only a few of us kicking the tires on this one. The Bromance tag put off lots of people and the "Addicted" crowd was profoundly suspicious. They might have even been downvoting its MDL rating as retaliation.
From there the appreciation has only grown. I myself was hooked from the start, partly because I'm not an "Addicted" partisan and partly because I knew Xu Bin from when he competed on "Youth With You".

It's possible he has suspected all along that Mao Chong has a jones for Su Yu, going all the way back to when Su Yu bought the ice cream for Mao Chong in episode 4 or 5.
We did get something close to Wu Bi sexually assaulting Su Yu after Wu Bi found Mao Chong's headphones at Su Yu's bedside.
Su Yu was on the floor struggling with Wu Bi, who apparently was trying to undress him for you-know-what. Wu Bi's cousin interrupted but the mood was not romantic. Su Yu looked like an angry man who knew he'd barely escaped an unfortunate fate.
I respect that the writer felt it was important to incorporate this element but I'm glad it was done obliquely and wasn't carried through.
In fact, their reconciliation was OD cute. I'm glad that Wu Bi was quick to "forgive" his man.
although I totally adore their moments on the beach, the color grading there was so fake it felt weird
The fakest scene so far was the one where Su Yu was brooding by the lake, with the lake frozen over. The entire winter background was a still photo, possibly added in post production.

The edit of each episode is exactly the same as elsewhere but the subs are different.
I've watched the series there, on Viki, and on Gaga, and I think the subs on China Huace TV are the best, although Gaga's are very good and perfectly acceptable.
One more thing about the lights going out ... in the spoiler below:
It struck me that Wu Bi's act of sneaking up to kiss Su Yu was in sharp contrast to when he'd sat there in the back row, shooting arrows at Su Yu instead.
Then something else hit me: the arrows that Wu Bi shot in the beginning were meant to be Cupid's arrows, forshadowing their love!
This writer is ingenious in a way that I've never seen with a series of any kind. And the director(s) are in complete cahoots and understand her artful language.
In addition to the same actors WE'D BETTER GET THIS SAME WRITER AND PRODUCTION TEAM if there is indeed a Season 2. This franchise is too precious to be handed over to anyone else.
In rewatching earlier episodes I notice that there are lots of moments when Wu Bi looks at Su Yu when Su Yu isn't aware. It starts with the very first time Wu Bi has dinner at Su Yu's house and later happens several other times.
Now that BTS clips are popping up I see Xu Bin also stealing glances at Jiongmin. I don't think it's for the same reason as in the series, but it's funny to see.

In the scene where Duoduo, Su Yu and Wu Bi are playing with the guns, Wu Bi's is pointed at Su Yu's crotch the entire time.
