Not when one brother, his eyebrows dancing with insinuation, offers to "loosen up" the other one, only to be met with a smirk on the other brother's face that says "Loosen up? Like hell! We both know what you really mean."
And not if that then results in the first brother carrying the other one to the bedroom, slung over his shoulder caveman style. 😮😮😮
Theres's an expression in American - I don't know if the British have it - "jumping the shark". It comes from…
They should have left out Wu Bi's visit to his uncle, or maybe have the uncle have just one or two bodyguards.
What helped me take it even less seriously was that the sound of the punches landing didn't match what we saw onscreen. In fact (at least on GagaOOLala) for that whole scene it seemed the sound was slightly misaligned from the action and dialog.
What tickles me is imagining the scene each morning when the two boys get dressed for the day. Wu Bi (it would have to be him) would insist on what shirts they should wear and of course the shirts would always match. (There's a fanfic prompt for you!)
Is there *any* behavior that is more traditionally encoded with "couple" implications? It's one mate's way of publicly claiming ownership of the other. Nobody dares to flirt with either of them because they're clearly spoken for.
Again I say this series has encoded these romantic angles more expertly than any other I can remember. They must have had great fun coming up with some of this stuff.
Someone earlier also suggested that Su Yu borrows Wu Bi's clothes and this is why he's always sporting pricey streetwear brands. I really like this idea.
And, I swear I saw Su Yu's dad wearing a streetwear shirt as well.
I wonder if they released it so quickly in order to minimize the danger of Chinese censors shutting the series down before it finished airing.
This would also be why they'd delay any actual kiss until the last episodes. It won't surprise me if there's a kiss in Episode 23 or 24 but not any earlier.
To me the "loosen me up" scene is clearly a reference to the boys being intimate. Wu Bi's mischievous behavior when he first brings it up is one "tell", but then he even carries Su Yu to the bedroom, caveman style.
So, my theory is that the cousin, while being the supposed business savant at Wu Bi's dad's company, committed the fraud/collusion and Wu Bi's mom found out. Su Yu will realize this somehow and confront the cousin, after which the cousin will notify the conspirators at the other company and their CEO will arrange for Su Yu's car accident.
The only hitch is that the cousin wouldn't want Wu Bi to be driving the car or even in the car when he has Su Yu killed.
Is it bad that I am really not interested in this plot with Wubi's mother I am sure it is important but I am just…
I'm a little disappointed by the "whodunit" aspect.
Injecting a murder mystery into the plot only diverts us from the two boys, and it really showed when we had to sit through that long sequence at Wu Bi's Uncle's house.
But as much as it reeks, I can't stop watching! It's got me too curious to see how low it can set the bar.
At the end does it turn out that the entire series is a dream?
Thanks!
In every episode, thirty seconds into the opening credits we see that both boys will be attending "Air Force Astronautics University".
For all I know that might be the closing shot of the entire series.

Although I think the car accident has been mentioned and anticipated on here so many times that mentioning it again is not to spoil it.
