There is nothing wrong with his looks anyway. I think he is a cutie.
Go to any comment section on here and you will see that people talk about the chemistry or lack of it between the actors and whether they're attractive or not. Oh, and about their acting ability, and whether they're age-appropriate for the role.
It seems some people are getting so frustrated by those who disagree with them that they're grasping at straws. One person said that if you don't like Nikko it's because he's dark-skinned. Another just below said it's because of racism.
Justin is awful. He's got a bad personality without any countervailing positives.Sometimes the actors are noticably…
Justin shows signs of improvement in Episode 6.
Given the trope of Eli falling on top of him when they were released from the bathroom (I know, I know .. eye roll!) I suppose it's possible they intend to have Eli and Justin become closer because of Nikko's illness.
This got into a big rut with the amnesia plotline. Few things are as boring to me, and what's worse is it's one of those plot devices where the writers can make up their own rules and just drag it out for as long as they want before some random thing magically restores Bamee's memory.
His amnesia will probably serve no purpose except to pad the series and stretch it to fill the extra episodes.
Bamee only had a couple of episodes where he was pleasant and likeable, but now he's back in anger mode and I'm inclined not to care what happens to him. (And why is his stepmother so nice now? No explanation!)
Also, suddenly Baiwan is taking a shining to Frong? What?
I'm really disappointed at the wrong turn this took.
God, I was so afraid there'd be a nasty twist at the end of Episode 4, like some kind of misunderstanding introduced by Lee Jun finding something odd in Haram's bag.
I'm grateful that it stayed cute AF, because nothing should overshadow that photo session with the bear cub and bunny ears.
I've been critical of this series but in regard to the acting, it doesn't strike me as being here or there. It's fine. I don't have a degree in film production so I tend to set my expectations for acting based on the scope and scale of the project.
This is a modest web series and the acting is on a par with other series like it. (And it's good to see some new faces.) My complaints about it are in other areas.
Ep 4 was a big improvement - mostly because there was no Raynold Tan trying to be a bad boy. He's got smoldering…
In my case I thought the tattoos were an odd thing to see, especially when the production did nothing to acknowledge them until Episode 4 and kept emphasizing Nikko as a kind of squeaky-clean, ideal kid. I mean, a big helping of ink *is* an interesting characteristic for a high school's class president/#1 student, isn't it? Am I crazy to think that? Especially when what we see forms a trail up his arm and under his sleeve, suggesting the possibility it leads to a lot more under his shirt.
A lot of people seem to want to turn this into a top/bottom issue. (Don't get me started on the person who said people dislike Nikko because he's dark-skinned.) Unless someone has actually said that Nikko shouldn't have tattoos because he's a bottom, I think that's pure conjecture, and maybe a sneaky way to distract an opponent with nonsense.
So, maybe Nikko is secretly rebellious, but they've gone to such lengths to make him into this perfect, sensitive creature that rebellion seems an unlikely reason for the tattoos... which means the real reason itself could have been interesting, but this series doesn't strike me as having the creativity to pull that off. And I won't be surprised if the tattoos don't come up again in future episodes.
The series "Best Mistake" also has a high school class president who's into tattoos and wants to be a tattoo artist. That series makes it an interesting aspect of the character that defies viewer expectations and drives his part of the story. Honestly, though, that series is Shakespeare compared to this one.
Just loving this as my Friday comfort zone. It makes me tear up at the corniest stuff, but that's okay because it reminds me I'm not totally jaded yet.
Episode 4 was the best so far. They were in too much of a hurry to get the two MLs flirting with each other and didn't bother with the part I enjoy the most, which is seeing how the barriers get broken down.
I think my main issue is that Nikko is the least interesting character but gets the most screen time. Everything about him is predictable. He's just sweet and self-effacing about everything -- the embodiment of virtue. Eli and Justin, on the other hand, are more rough around the edges, so I'm more interested to see what they'll do next.
I'm glad they acknowledged the tattoos, although I think Eli's next question should have been to ask what they mean.
I'm capable of understanding this is not a depiction of an actual workplace and that therefore the behaviors exhibited might not be appropriate in an actual workplace.
Therefore I'm comfortable saying I loved the first episode and can tell this will be a cute series.
There's this visual dissonance that's impossible for me to ignore, which is that it looks like underneath his shirt Nikko the "nerdy class president" is covered with ink.
I also think his best friend is cuter. That actor should have been cast as the lead instead. For me he generates more sparks with Eli than Nikko does.
Eli, of course, is a stud, but because there's no dramatic tension to the story his presence is wasted. The screenwriter made no attempt to establish a way for the opposites to become attracted -- they just suddenly did. The animated hearts in the air can't substitute for a story.
This makes me think the series might just be cash grab leveraging BL's popularity. It's a squeaky-clean production but otherwise colorless. But I do hope we'll see more of Raynold Tan (Eli) in another production someday.
How can K-Soul be in fourth place? Tf? I do not find him that talented and his personality isn't that great either.…
He did work one bit of magic, which was to make me admire the singing coaches who diplomatically told him he shouldn't try to rap. I was so glad they held their ground.
His self-centeredness makes him entirely inappropriate for a group act.
But, I fear that his "supporters" (I can only imagine what kind of people they are) will keep voting for him.
That's what's happening here. Nothing more, nothing less.

Good grief. Get a grip, people.

Because of Fifth and Zeke! 😏🎉
Please, please. Let's not waste Adrian's presence in the cast.
