So, it seems to me that P'Sho, while I love him & everything, needs some friends! My man does nothing but spend…
Green is definitely the endgame. Personally I think he's moving in way too soon, to the point that he can be seen as exploiting Maitoh's emotional state. (Well, he is by me, anyway.) Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.
Shogun can be forgiven for being confused about his feelings for Maitoh, but as I predicted after last week's episode he is now doomed to watch regretfully from afar. What a great storyline it would have been if Maitoh had turned out to be the catalyst for him awakening to what he really wants in life, helping him to adjust and drop all the defenses he's put up to shield himself. (I think Shogun is a loner in order to avoid some hard truths.)
Alas, instead the series has taken a path that even I could have written ... and I suck as a writer.
But, speaking of foolishness, it would be foolish for me to expect this series to be anything more than a lightweight romp. It flirted with an important and meaningful storyline but I think it is more of a priority for the production company to market the Gun-Save ship.
That was sexy. It reminded me of the hot interactions of two nuns in a seminary. I'm really struggling with this…
In today's episode we were treated to the endearing moment of Gap removing his friend's arm from around his shoulder, telling him it would hurt their fan base.
yes somehow till today I expected him to say brother thing but after today episode I thought that he might actually…
Maybe the way it will end is Maitoh matched with Green, and Shogun watching them sadly from afar as he realizes he let his chance go by.
Green has done nothing to stand out as a character. They've only had him snooping around after Maitoh and feeling sorry for himself -- a personality 100% defined by his feelings for his crush. Not exactly boyfriend material, but god bless this series they'll do their darnedest to sell it.
The mistake they made was making the Shogun-Maitoh pairing so compelling. Now they've ripped it away from us, with four episodes still to go, and the other two couples (including the BL one) don't have enough charisma to carry the series to the end.
This ship has become so corporate packaged that it no longer appeals to me. And I say this as a fan who was brought to BL by their work in "Kiss Me Again". (That storyline remains the best realization of the enemies-to-lovers trope I've ever seen.)
Nowadays Tay & New come off to me as a couple of slick hucksters. I'll check out the first couple of episodes but my expectations are low, low, low.
I'm guessing Name's new friend on MSN is his mom. She's plotting with Em to get Name to call him and talk on the phone. There's going to be hell to pay when Name finally finds out he's been duped.
The music ... god, it's relentless and (if you don't mind the pun) tone deaf. The cheerful riff playing under the scene where Champ is riding back to school on the bus after learning about his grandfather -- completely wrong. Then when it's time to make us feel sad, here comes the vocal track and of course the geniuses in charge of this series play it too loud.
LOL at Lucky the dog. He's always staring off-set at his trainer, so when Champ comes into the house for the first time in weeks he just sits there with a blank stare and never turns around.
They are at odds for almost the entire series, so they are never really together as a couple until the end. One of the guys runs hot and cold seemingly at random but the two of them are not a couple at that point so I don't think their standoffs count as breakups.
I wasn't expecting Shakespeare so I enjoyed it enough to watch next week, when it looks like the story proper will get underway.
I wish Thi had started out with at least a little more backbone. When he was defending his student from Noey's gang he was valiant enough to put a stop to it, but I would have liked it more if a fire suddenly got lit within him and he gave Noey a verbal takedown that left Noey speechless.
Noey is not a nice guy at this point, but based on the trailers I think it's supposed to throw people off from how sensitive he is. Okay ...
But I do like this kind of "opposites attract" / "enemies to lovers" combo.
What’s with a sudden “can I touch your breast?” 😳Dude, aren’t you pursuing that little girl? Why are…
In an earlier comment @Nauriya said that it's a quote from "2gether", which this director also directed. It did seem very strange and random to me too!
BL relationship? Well, there is definitely one but it's completely side bar & there's very little screen time…
For some reason the main couple really irks me. I watch m/f dramas by the dozen, including many with BL side couples, and I enjoy them a lot, but in this series I skip all of the guy-girl scenes. The guy is bland as unbuttered toast and the girl is bearable only in small doses. What's really damning to me, though, is the misleading title and it's obvious aim at the BL audience.
Today's episode gave us the most BL content yet, and the scene in the music store and afterward was wonderful. If the whole series had been like that I'm sure I'd be less annoyed.
I would love to see Shogun and Maitoh together, but I bet Green and Maitoh is the end game. Just based on their…
I agree 100%. And with the cliffhanger that we got today, I have this creeping fear that Maitoh has been misreading Shogun's behavior this whole time and is about to be rebuffed. (Not sure how that could be possible given Shogun's obvious favoring of Maitoh, but since when do these series ever present believable human behavior?) 😄
When FM and Nine went to the men's room to clean FM's shirt, I concentrated really hard and sent mental messages: "FM .... take off the shirt. Take off the shirt."
And he did!
I use these powers only for good. Y'all can thank me later. 😄😄😄

I swear Bosston broke character and laughed for real when Sammy did that hilarious reaction to Pruek asking Manow to date.
This production is bonkers.
