Noey is still projecting his own feelings onto Thi, thinking that Thi is attracted to him -- while Thi hasn't shown any outward sign that that's true. His main behaviors are exasperation and avoidance. For Noey, though, the main strategy for processing what he's feeling is to attribute those feelings to Thi instead.
Noey has never been around someone like Thi, so he's intrigued. Will the relationship become romantic? Idk. I find it hard to imagine those two being physically affectionate.
This was a chore for me to finish. Honestly, I did so for the Alex-RJ side couple, so in the end the joke was on me.
The main couple is pure cringe. All the makeout scenes in the world can't disguise that there is hardly any chemistry between them. Bai Lang is annoying AF and needs a good therapist. His mental condition is barely explored and seems to be there more as a dramatic device. Shame on the writers.
And a bar owner constantly drinking with his customers is not a good look. In real life this would be a couple headed into stormy waters.
I doubt we'll get an Alex-RJ sequel. Since they fumbled the ball on such a simple storyline it seems to me that they consciously chose not to follow through. Maybe due to the age difference?
That was "meh" for me. Sloppy plot, and down too many blind alleys. The abuse storyline didn't belong in this…
The lack of follow-through with the side couples (especially Alex and RJ) really disappointed me. I more or less gave up on the series about midway, though. For me Bai Lang had one breakdown too many, leading me to think he should be in therapy instead of a relationship. He also seemed to show signs of alcoholism.
And, as you say, they wrote RJ out of the story about 2/3 of the way in, and added the unconvincing detail that Bai Lang wouldn't think to tell Alex that RJ had asked for leave due to his sick father. It makes me think the writers didn't know what to do with the Alex-RJ pairing (maybe due to the age difference?) and ultimately decided just to set them aside.
Totally engrossing .... the episode flew by. And no stupid sound effects. When Palm first saw Ben with Nueng they didn't goose the moment with a lion's roar. So many series would.
Thailand's idea of "elderly" is pretty funny. There wasn't a single grey hair in that dance class. Either their elderly look like they're all in their 40's or they consider 40 years old to be over the hill. 😄
(Well, I guess to the teenage target audience even late 20's is considered old.)
And I'm sorry, but the name "Chopper" gets a chuckle out of me every time. At least now we know that he's named that way because his dad likes chopping things.
I don't love it, but I like it. I haven't read the manga so I'm a neutral party. I agree that as a production it does feel a little lower-budget than the other Jdramas we've been getting lately.
I agree with you in most of your points BUT I disagree that the music is terrible. The music is beautiful, but…
For me the biggest problem is it never stops. Ever. For once I wish they'd let a scene speak for itself instead of thinking they have to goose it with BGM that will tell us how to feel.
So the Grandad took ill and they couldn't be bothered to tell him about it but Lucky joins the farm in the sky…
And next week, Sis shows up at his door with bad news. My guess is that Dad will be joining Lucky and Granddad at the Big Farm in the sky, or be gravely ill and force Champ to finally act like an adult.

I was worried that the twist at the end would be that Maito's relationship with Sho was Maito having a dream .... but I feared needlessly.
