Im a sucker for all the small details,i like how they softened Vincenzo up with lighter attire, fluffier hair and rounder eyebrows. It was at its peak in ep 16 to the point it made me wonder"i wish i could see his slicked back hair again" and then there he goes,back with slick back hair, arched brows and the simple and stern black suit. absolute eye candy!!!
For people who couldn't get past first episode: to me this show is like Vincenzo's journey. He comes to Korea thinking his job will be easy which first episode kinda represents with all ridiculous comedy but then as story goes on and the serious balances out the funny, we kinda get this progression of him realizing hes digging himself deep into shi+ but also unraveling all these issues.
SJK is so beautifully fit for this role and I find his execution of it so pleasing and enjoyable-so i tend to focus on him and shift the story in my head as if its from his point of view, as story goes, the characters change in his mind too.
boy oh boy did i go into this thinking it will be flowers and fluffies-literally just read the description and was like aye i'll watch cause high rating and i was also surprised it was an early 20th century piece which are rare. booooy did it go down,booy did i cry. i researched history as i watched i was too immersed and i felt so bad for these people. this was beautifully captured. stunning drama.heartbreaking.eye opening.
im in love with this show,i dont even care about all the things that dont make sense i just love the main couple,i love their dynamic and i love how much time they spend together and the solid built of their relationship. i also adore how since fei's attire give off subtle hints of their relationship too. like when she started wearing red when she was very overtly affectionate towards xie yun it kinda spoke to me she's ready to wear red(wedding/marry him)-also he drew her wearing a red dress like a bride. blue outfit spoke to me too because for the most of the show xie yun is shown in blue attire but also in episode 39 and 40 they both wear white on top and red under it,aka matching outfit ,also both sporting red innerdress could signify marriage.
I wasnt even a HJP fan starting this but once it was clear and predictable dalmi will choose DS it lost all charm for me. Im just watching to finish at this point, poor HJP
im about to start episoe 9 and all i can think of to comment is how dalmi's grandma is having bad eye sight but doesnt wear any glasses .maybe im wrong but wouldnt glasses be the first thing you wear when you have trouble seeing?

ever since i got into a healthy relationship i dont buy the whole toxic stuff portrayed in dramas. it should be like this-soft,fluffy, EASY and exciting. falling in love should Not hurt.
i did not expect to enjoy this drama but seeing everyone keeps having harsh opinions, especially regarding chemisty between the leads i gotta say some people really have no idea how healthy relationships are made lmao. i am so refreshed seeing two people meeting and hitting it off and playfully flirting. it's so fun and enjoyable to watch. it makes me happy theres no hate or very cliche starts to relationship-because i find dramas either start with leads hating each other and having no wit or timing in conversation or its so depressing and dependant on each other it's boring.i find nothing slow about this drama-two young people being interested about each other and just so relatably cute. there is no bickering,its flirting. all the dialogue between everyone is so interesting if you pay attention to how characters articulate themselves it's insane. i watched temperature of love and that one kinda died along the way so that might happen here too but it might not- i will stay optimistic.
i think this might be a first drama i will write an extensive review for. i have never related to a drama in a mental health way more- and i feel like for a lot of people who suffer mental health issues this drama just touches the spot.
