This is 4th drama I watched where he appeared. The first one was To Love, second Princess Agents, but I stopped half way because of various reasons and the often regretted cliffhanger ending. I very much liked Master of My Own and The Legend of Shen Li. I am far from having watched enough to think I am totally familiar with that actor and his style, but still, his name is now a reason for me to check out what's on offer. Did not regret it here :) Of course, I am never emotional over fiction : I tend to look at it analytically and sociologically, sometimes just visually. This one has beautiful pictures and filming that aptly conveys the atmospheres of cramped spaces or comfort, freedom (the skating into the beginning), and all that: well done.

Well, it's a drama. Audiences should be offered something uplifting. Fictional characters are not cut out, thankfully, to the worst of what reality can bring. What was on offer were some moral values such as the value of calm in the face of insanity, and the reminder that the police, the law, and network of friends should not be forgotten.
