Title 4Minutes Spoiler
we saw great take dome to the hospital so how can it be dome..?
It would be possible if Tonkla lives in the reality where Great didn't save Dome. My thoughts are hard to explain, sorry, i will try to be more clear.
We never saw Tonkla and Great together for now. Their stories are both separated.
This is why I'm theorizing that everything isn't happening at the same time.
In the present, we are in Great's head who's reliving his life because he is in cardiac arrest at the hospital (reason why the number 4 and 11o'clock are everywhere around him). To me, Great isn't living in the present right now, but in his past memories (like the woman Den interviewed in ep 1 explained). So when does Tonlka's story takes place ? What's happening to him right now isn't part of Great's memories. So, is it the past ? And the true past is that Great saw Dome die ?

I'm sorry, was the brother Dome ? Because he got stoned to death by Title before Great went back 4 minutes in time.
Is Korn and Tonkla story in the same timeline as Great right now ? Or are we seeing the past with them as well ? A past where, maybe, Great didn't save Dome.
If Great is reliving the past because his heart stopped beating, he will only see what he already went through and try to change events that already happened.
So if in the past timeline, he didn't save Dome, maybe Dome was Tonkla's brother. And Tonkla killed Title later ? Because like he said, Title has money and would get max 10 years for murder.

Everyone is so bold in this series, I love it. Khem told his mom he is breaking the rules point blank. Japan told Seji he likes him. Ken told Seji that Japan and him are fighting for his attention. They are all so straightforward. Misunderstandings and Secrets who? They don't do that here. It's refreshing.

Khem is not only a little Human Ressources and Public Relations Disaster, he's also a Jealous Prejudiced A-hole.
*sigh* Do better, boy!

Mom and her gf are both gorgeous and adorable. Love them!

Now, wth is happening with all those police raids ?

I like this show so far ! The tension is delicious, I like a "I don't like you because I have a massive boner for you" start (same thing as Why R U Thai with Fighter/Tutor). Every time Khem and Wela have their faces close together, I'm melting !

Now, is it prostitution ? If it is: Great ! If it's not: Great ! The only thing I ask if for the workers to be protected and it was shown in episode 2 when Freya (such a gorgeous woman) changed the rules to better ensure the safety of the hosts. So yeah, nice !

I like the clothes in this show too. Everyone is sooooo pretty and I find the story quite entertaining.

Also, Seiji be a little nicer to your friend, please. You don't need to indulge Ken with the whole ship thing but, serving his grandma's cooked meal to someone without asking him first ? Blasphemous !

Everyone dying/going mad wasn't on my bingo card but, honestly, it should have. I like the ending.

My head canon is that New lied to Phee about the antidote. There wasn't a lot of them and, by the end, Phee only used another kind of drug. We saw the drugs having a different intensity depending on how much was inhaled, maybe there is different kinds that makes you hallucinate diffferent things too. I also think that taking too much of the drug might cause permanent damage to your psyche, hence why Phee and Jin are "stuck".

I cried when White died and I cried while watching all of their dead bodies because... It was so pointless. Revenge really doesn't achieve anything (it's my opinion, i'm against the death penalty for a reason, don't come at me because you think differently, thank you.)

Seeing Non dying again and again was so hard to watch and seeing Tee ending up like his dad because of the trauma was horrible.

I like that Phee is aware he is hallucinating because Non is acting out of character while New is deluding himself and hallucinating Non wanting the carnage. It matches the idea that Phee knew Non better because he spent more time with him.

By the way, I don't think any of them is seeing how the real Non would act like. They are all hallucinating. However, I don't see Non being okay with White and the uncle death and I think even New realised that during his brief moment of clarity.

Such a sad story. I'm really not cut out for horror because this kind of story only leaves me feeling hollow.

No,no.That tee guy is broken beyond words already anymore than this,if white is harmed worse if white gets harmed…
I agree. I don't think if White dies, Tee will survive (no matter who's the killer). He would rather end his life because the guilt would be unbearable.
Unfortunately, like i said, I'm already betting on Tee not surviving this ordeal so... White's death is a possibility.

I'm so glad someone else honed in on that. Phee wants to know the truth because he wants closure and to be able…
Tan being New was a choice, true. Much like him being able to create an airborne hallucinogen so potent, a room full of people falls unconscious after he takes one drag of it.
But it makes things more interesting, in my opinion, so I'm giving it a pass.

Also, I do think Non's family as a whole must have some history when it comes to mental instability/illness. Between Non, New and their mother, there is definitely something there. A predisposition maybe.

So we can't guarantee none of his parents would have succumbed but New being there might have helped.

Everyone is flawed.

This could be a translation issue too, though. What if it is something like "Who would care about this then?"…
I doubt it because right after, he says "What I need is for those assholes to die" and "Do you know what I lost because of you all ?"
I do think it's intentional. He never mentions what Non went trough after that. He only talks about himself.
Replying to NateBLdictate Mar 2, 2024
I mean...Non did want them dead so....
Yes, but that's not what he is saying. He is talking about what HE lost not about all the pain Non went through. It does give a new perspective on his motivations.

I would even say that New didn't have to lie about going back to England. He didn't need to lie to his parents, he could have investigated what happened while staying with them. Then his parents wouldn't have ruined themselves and lost everything to send him money he didn't need (because he wasn't in England). It might not have saved his mom but his father wouldn't feel so betrayed at least, and might not have resorted to such extreme measures.
Again, New, my boy, no one forced you to make that decision.
On Dead Friend Forever - DFF Mar 2, 2024
I just realised that the show outed New. When Phee asked him "You really think that this is what Non would want ?" New answered: "Who would care about that ?"
My boy, weren't you taking revenge for your brother ? What do you mean "who would care" ? You should care ! How did it suddenly become all about New ?
Non might actually have wanted for them to die as we saw when he snapped. But it's not even what New said.
My boy, you really lost your way, huh.

The real villains in this story are all the adults who so utterly and completely failed these children. Non's…
So true. The only adult who actually did his job is Phee's dad. He is the only one.
On Dead Friend Forever - DFF Mar 2, 2024
What's everyone betting on when it comes to the final episode ? We have three people down already. Who's next in your eyes ?

I think that New, Tee and Fluke won't make it. Maybe White and/or Phee too, if the writers are ruthless. Strangely, I do think Jin is going to make it, because of Non's script (where he is the only one who survives).

I have a theory that Tee might injure/kill White under the influence of the drugs and it's going to gut me if they go this route. I hope I'm wrong but it's just the vibe I got from the latest previews we got.

no one is saying that Non is not a victim, now 100% innocent he is not either. He cheated on his boyfriend for…
I mean, I sympathize with Non still. It would have been hard to tell his parents, clearly. They made him feel like a burden. But even at 16, he could understand that the shady deal Tee offered wasn't a good idea.

I do agree that Tee is stuck. When it's your own family who's actively harming you and blackmailing you... What can you do as a teenager ? Especially when the police is corrupt like in this show. Even if he got enough money to pay the hospital bills, his uncle wouldn't have let him go. My theory is that Tee killed his uncle, by the way.

At the end of the day, it's a sad situation all around. Hurt people hurting other people. They are teenagers that were miserably failed by the adults around them. The only adult we saw who protected his child in this show is Phee's dad. Por's dad is an abusive father and corrupt politician, i don't consider what's he is doing protecting his son. It's more about saving face.
Replying to Mbek Feb 25, 2024
no one is saying that Non is not a victim, now 100% innocent he is not either. He cheated on his boyfriend for…
Non didn't even try so how do we know how it would have gone ? You need to try first. He is an highschooler. You think his parents would have done nothing if he told them ? They are bad parents but not unreasonable.

I don't think Tee gave Non to keep him "happy". He protected himself. Because if not Non, he would have been the one to take the blame. Tee is shitty, yes, again bad decision making. But it's still the "self defense" you were talking about with Non. Involving outsiders to cover your ass. Non did it too. You might not have any sympathy for the bullies, but Non did involve them in a situation with hardened criminals in the mix. It ended well for them, i agree. But much like Tee got Non killed (allegedly). Non could have gotten all of them killed too. Non could have become a Tee.
Also, you aren't seriously thinking that Tee has any agency when it comes to his uncle, right ? Much like Non didn't, Tee doesn't either. They are highschoolers.
This is why Non should have run. This is why discernement. Putting yourself in a worse situation to escape a bad one isn't good decision making.

Getting involved with money laudering was still a stupid move for Non. It still was.

Tee's father is sick. Not dead but not well either. He clearly has no good adult supervision in his life right now.

Non's parents are a whole other can of worms in my eyes. I do believe they love their sons but they are bad parents. They failed to do their duty and protect their child. The reason why I'm saying I understand Non is because clearly his parents failed at making him trust them. How can you not know that your son is bullied ? How can you not ask why he commmited a crime ? How can you not notice his split lip and black eye ? As a parent, how can you not ask questions ?
But even then, at one point, his father offered a solution. He asked Non if he wanted to move and that they could figure out something after Non got caught. So yes, if Non told them, there were solutions. Even if his parents are blind (and infuriates me).
They didn't deserve to die obviously but they bear some responsability for what happened to Non. They are his parents, they are supposed to protect him. And their family wouldn't have fallen apart if they had just listened to their child. It's not like Non was good at hiding his turmoil either.

Phee offered Non to change schools too.

There were solutions for Non. He chose the wrong one.

I understand you don't like me talking about the similarities between Non and Tee situations and that's fine. I respect your point of view.

But I don't think saying that Non's judgement was flawed is victim blaming. Non commited a crime. Money laundering is a crime and he involved outsiders (that you feel no sympathy for, i understand) for his own sake. In fact, a lot of criminals do crimes for the exact same reasons as him: desperation. It's still isn't right.

Like even if you don't like Jin, at this point in time, Jin had done nothing but stand up for Non and Non still got him involved. Even Tee warned his bestie Top against it. Non did use others to try and save his ass. Being a victim doesn't change that.
Replying to Mbek Feb 25, 2024
no one is saying that Non is not a victim, now 100% innocent he is not either. He cheated on his boyfriend for…
Yes and why did Tee involve Non into money laundering ? Because his uncle put pressure on him. So Tee put pressure on Non. Non has no loyalty to the group and Tee has no loyalty to Non. Why do you expect him to, when you don't expect the other way around. Non could have asked people for money, too. He didn't. Why do you expect Tee to do it and not Non ?

Tee's uncle is a CRIMINAL. He is league above in terms of danger compared to everyone else in this story. You shouldn't expect anything moral coming from him. So again, yes, stealing from him was stupid, fueled by desperation but stupid nonetheless. It couldn't have ended well. Non was shortsighted. Tee is desperate too but he understood you can't steal from criminals.

I'm not excusing Tee's behavior, what he did was horrible, he is still a massive manipulative bully. But Non fell in the same trap as him and made a lot of the same wrong decisions. Tee told Non to find people to open new accounts, he never told him to tell the group speciffically to do it (but he used the situation to his advantage later). And Non could have refused. Non could have refused all of this. He could have! Turning to crimes when you are struggling doesn't make it right (and he put his own safety in jeopardy). I understand why he did it but no one forced him to go this route. He could have talked to his parents, he could have talked to Phee and his father. Again, I understand why he didn't but I'm sorry, in court, you will go to jail even if you do bad things because you were threatened or under pressure. So yes, Non made a lot of bad decisions, and why he made them doesn't excuse it. It doesn't. And again, it doesn't take away that he was a victim.
But two wrongs, don't make a right.

Tee comes from a family of criminals with a sick father and the responsabilities to find money to help him as an highschooler.
Tee isn't a great person at all but his situation isn't better than Non. They both got let down by adults.
Tee might not ask for help out of pride, but Non doesn't ask for help either because he doesn't want to feel like a burden. I understand but in a situation as dire as this one, you need discernement.

Even if I think Non could have refused and escaped all of this (before he stole the money), it's not the same for Tee in my opinion. He was raised in this situation, it's not a surprise he isn't a law abiding citizen, but it's only more reasons why Non should have run. Even while desperate, you need to have discernement.

But both Tee and Non made the same bad choices is what i'm saying and their reasoning is eerily similar in some parts.

They are both desperate. And if you excuse the actions of one because of desperation, then you need to to the same for the other or else it's a double standard.

Again, I reitere it doesn't take away from the fact that Non is a victim. You can be a victim and not be in the right. None of the characters in this story are anyway.
Replying to Mbek Feb 25, 2024
no one is saying that Non is not a victim, now 100% innocent he is not either. He cheated on his boyfriend for…
Okay, but then you need to extend this logic to Tee too. And we can all agree it poses a huge problem then.
Tee and Non did for the most part, the same thing. They got outsiders involved in a dangerous scheme (money laundering) because of their desperation and got them in trouble with the law.
But, if Tee can't get a pass, why should Non ?
I understand the pressure of poverty and mental troubles. But Tee is also poor and I don't think he grew up in a very safe and nice environment either considering who's his uncle.
So, which one is it ?
Why should Tee die then ? Because most of the bad things he did was because of circumstances (aka his uncle threats and control).
Do you see the problem there ?

What people are saying is that being a victim doesn't justify becoming an aggressor (at least people that don't get lost in the sauce).

And no, Non didn't protect himself, he dig himself deeper in a hole. The safest option would have been to confront Por's wrath, not steal money from criminals. I have empathy for his struggles (the bullying, feeling of loneliness, the grooming) but he made the worst decision there and there was no coming back from this.

Now, I think everyone agree that Non didn't deserve his fate. He deserved a happy and supporting family, an involved and protective brother, good mental health, a good school and social life, he deserved being protected from predatory adults but... Everyone let him down. His parents, his brother, his "friends", his boyfriend, his tutor. Everyone.
On Dead Friend Forever - DFF Feb 24, 2024
White is going to die because of Tee. I can feel it coming. It will be Tee's punishement because White is what's most precious to him right now.

And because of this, New will be iredeemable (He already is but killing the only innocent one in this story would seal it). It would replicate what happened to Non: being killed/made to disappear unjustly.
