I don't actually blame the FL for struggling to trust the ML. Almost everyone around her has deceived her, so her guard is naturally high. She truly loves him, but she's not at the point where she can give him her full trust. And each time she tries, something always happens that shakes that trust again. The so-called āstrongā characters were written into pathetic, clueless shells of themselves, while the villains grew stronger with every episode, unchecked and unstoppable. It made no sense.
