I loved the restraint and pure heart of Japan Cherry Magic, and watched it for the 3rd time this week. But the Thai version (I wrote a review about this), while it departs radically from the original manga, stands well on its own. It also has more adult intimacy, which is more realistic.

Warning to those watching the new Netflix version of 3BP: a few critical scenes and characters have been substantially altered. My spouse has been complaining all weekend about how the Chinese novel and tv version was 1000x superior, but the US edition is still extremely good and will improve. They are already eagerly awaiting Season 2 despite the purist's moaning LOL
