I thought the male lead was quite thoughtful and intelligent in his portrayal, but am only up to E2 here in Australia. The Cafe guy is Fumiya Takahashi, 24 years old and a very capable actor. He's in that in between phase where he no longer does school roles but is too young for roles like the ML.

This one truly surprised me: an intelligent, mature story about two strangers brought together by a shared mystery that changes their lives. Casting and locations are intimate and realistic, with understated performances capture universal emotions often left unspoken in Japanese culture. Currently 2 episodes out on Netflix but already intrigued to see the next 8 unfold. Highly recommended.

and the ending was rather abrupt and awful, as if the production had run out of money or come to a grinding halt

Just finished it, no grey lips or stained teeth on KT, especially in the last episode where they are standing on snowy ground in the blinding sun. there are some scenes where the lighting is very dark. but in the last half hour, his teeth are perfect white and his lips are pink. This is 30 years before the age of video and AI editing , so it is accurate and authentic. It is really obvious that he takes care of himself in that scene. i am watching it on a much brighter television and there's absolutely no sign of any of those things

it's not you. i just submitted a review, the show had potential but moves too slowly. should have been a binge not a weekly

well... it's implied but they were very shy about kissing and hugging the next day, so we supposed to believe they went to bed together fully clothed...
