Yup I enjoy watching Light On series but the quality of recent crime dramas have deteriorated. My fav crime drama with corrupt cops is The Knockout. There’s also one in Detective Chinatown 1(the drama, not the movie), I think The Long Night has it too but I watched it so long ago I don’t remember clearly now. It’s a very good drama though. The Embers also had one or two in it. Usually they’re not the lead characters and they can pass censorship coz in Cdramas, no bad guys go unpunished no matter how petty their actions are.
Personally, I loved the Embers. here are some https://kisskh.at/list/Lp6QvXR4
Agree with the above that The Embers is good. It’s one of the most recent ones. Also check out The Knockout and Burning Ice. All solid actors and plot although not recent.

“BUT I don’t remember watching any Cdramas whereby there are corrupt cops though… ”
Then you haven’t watched enough crime genre Cdramas 😉. There are many and I’m getting tired of that actually when watching another crime drama recently.
This is HILARIOUS to me because i had the SAME exact question. I recall there being a somewhat tender moment between…
Tender moments WHEN?! 🤣 Help! Suddenly he appeared to help Zhen Zhen search for evidence in that town but they’re so familiar with each other I wondered if I missed the scenes or they got cut? Weird!
Haha wait. Where did Qiao Han come from? I don’t remember him from any earlier episode and suddenly he’s so familiar with Zhen Zhen and Peng Zhao Lin. Who is he again?
I wanna fast forward but I’m also afraid I might miss crucial scenes!
I find that the drama sort of went downhill after Zhen Zhen’s rescued. I know the killers live a mundane life doing mundane things but for a drama, I wish they’d show more, such as how Zhen Zhen overcame her PTSD during her police training.
