it’s a pity that many ppl dropped the drama so early on coz I kept watching, and from I think Ep 20 onwards(or when they started investigating Bai Yutang’s brother’s case), the plot just got deeper and deeper and more and more twisted. Every scene became more intense & every episode kept me on the edge. I’ve watched Cdramas non-stop every day for years now and I’d say this is one of the best wuxia dramas made in recent years.

Ep 21 in and I still don’t find the story bland, still liking it.

If you like wuxia then you will like this. I’m enjoying this drama. They don’t make this kinda wuxia dramas anymore.

Jist finished Ep 30 and wth Chen Xuanqing?! Also 2nd sis is giving off weird vibe.

It’s a masterpiece that still hold the no. 1 spot for me 6 years later and a countless no. of Cdramas watched.

As for me I keep getting distracted when the camera takes a front view of him and all I see is the wig sticking too closely at his temple.

lol I don’t care what war some commenters are having down here but I’m thoroughly enjoying a good wuxia drama here. The fight scenes and many characters from different sects, abandoned temples 😂 are all a lot of fun.

Watched Ep 24. I think Xiao Qiao wasn’t telling the truth but I think that part abt her being tortured was true & it drove her mad. I like Xiao Qiao. She’s wrong but I feel more sorry for her tragic past.

I was also confused abt CXQ’s father(not the biological one) being a kid when he died.

Your last point: I think CYY’s advisor kinda knows.

I think CYY does have a lighter side to him but his position and the things he’s doing prevent him from showing that part of him. We shall see in the coming episodes. I also don’t like bashing any of them. like I said from my ori. post, they each have their own chemistry with GJZ which I find interesting, thanks to the great acting by all the actors. All I hope is that Ye Xian won’t turn into a hostile villain.

I have questions but ok I think I will wait till I watched 24. I knew she’s involved somehow but just couldn’t make the connection between the Mount Wu accident and her.

I just finished watching Ep 14 and 15 today. When she was staring down at the Gu Family, I was like “Go grandma, slap ‘em, kick ‘em, grab a stick and smash their heads!”

Yup I agree. I think with Ye Xian, the relationship would be like fireworks; lots of angst and drama, lots of huge emotions flying everywhere(this is IF they’re both in love with each other) but when the emotional outbursts have drained dry, what’s left would be exhaustion. Someone like Ye Xian would be the best to have as a bestie. I actually feel sympathy for him, he’s indeed a man in despair. What he needs is not a relationship but a greater purpose in life. I think irl, many girls would choose men like Ye Xian when it’s the Chen Yanyuns who would give them the happiest marriage.

hehe I was Team Jacob but Ye Xian isn’t like Jacob. There is chemistry between both of them & I believe Ye Xian has true feelings for her but Ye Xian’s temper along with Jinzhao’s temper will not be good for a long-lasting happy union. It might even end up growing toxic when resentments grow. Chen Xuanqing is a total green flag but he’s too passive & reserved, if they had been together, I think in the long run Jinzhao will grow frustrated 🤣 Jinzhao’s already highly intelligent, a risk-taker with a sharp mind. She would need someone on par with her or wiser, more experienced for her to have that extra spark in a relationship. Some ppl may think that Chen Yanyun doesn’t seem to be romantic & is too calm but I think he’s just good at hiding his emotions due to his dangerous political career. I guess for a lasting marriage without energy-sucking dramas, JinZhao choosing CYY would be the best choice. Having said that, I do enjoy her interactions with Ye Xian 😬

Wait I don’t understand what’s going on in Ep 23?? Someone explain to me plz? What did Lao He discover from the Wu Mountain accident and that unit 415??
