The court politics in this season is inevitable. It’s always been the underlying cause of things that happened in the previous seasons. In S2 it’s becoming apparent and S3 it’s all out in the open. I wish they could explain a bit more on the historical characters and events in Tang Dynasty as they explore the cases too but then again, I was reminded that the drama is made for their domestic Chinese market & not international market in mind and these characters and historical events are already well-known in China. Explaining might seem like a waste of drama time or even insulting, as if their people didn’t already know.

I do remember! I too didn’t like beasts in the previous seasons and in this one when it appears I was like “okayyy I know you guys love beasts so bring it on” 🤣

Did you watch from S1? If yes and you still think so, then I guess you don’t understand the character and story well.

I really like the 3rd case and how it’s written. It’s not easy to tie in cases SToTD style with the political drama unraveling more & more in this season. I don’t get why some ppl said S3 feel different from previous seasons coz to me it’s the same but better.

Su Wuming sit there in the sideline doing nothing? Are we watching the same drama?? He basically stood in front of the sword for LLF and discovered the truths and identities of the group by talking which is his expertise. He’s a detective, not a martial artist.

I don’t remember much but Princess Taiping is very powerful and influential. She was Wu Zetian’s fav daughter & the current emperor’s father consulted her on everything when he was the emperor. She also helped the current emperor win the throne.

He can’t help it coz he couldn’t fight at all 😅 but he’s not at all cowardly when it matters, like how he stood in front of the sword to protect Lu Lingfeng when they were abt to kill him.

LLF is already a marshmallow compared to him in S1 and 2.

I just wanna say again how much I appreciate that the production team listened to feedbacks They made the FLs a lot more prominent in this season and treated with so much respect by the fam!
