I wonder if the drama is originally longer but got cut due to censorship maybe? Because usually they don’t allow/like superstitions and fantasy that much.

I lowered down my expectation after some eps so I wasn’t really disappointed. It’s a different kinda entertaining Cdrama 😂

Nah it’s still fun to watch but don’t have too high an expectation.

She’s obviously a XZL anti and Nazha(I’ve nothing against the actress) stan who tried to cover up her bias and toxic hate with a lot of gibberish talk. I usually ignore stupid or rude comments but I felt compelled to speak up for the director and actress who I think did a wonderful job respectively.

They didn’t say anything abt S2 but they left so many things unexplained and didn’t kill off Chu Sijing. So if they wanna make S2 they can.

So…first I thought Omg I was wrong abt Chu Siyu and he’s the mastermind! And then erk…no it’s just a whatchamacallit controlling them. So…what why how?? What did I watch? How do I tell ppl what The Mutations is about? 😅 Shen Cong saying Chu Sijing is still alive means we might get a S2. Too many things unexplained but I guess overall I enjoyed watching it. Watched what, I’m not so sure 🤣.

Yes we’re all waiting for Engsub. I watched till Ep 6 and loved it but it was too much work for my brain without the sub. So I put it on hold. It’s ok I have a lifetime 🤧🫠

I still subscribe to her and I do enjoy watching her reviews to a certain degree. Sometimes I agree, a lot of times I don’t. I follow because I enjoy hearing/reading different views. What you said abt her is also true so it is important that ppl understand that an opinion is just that; an opinion.

I agree. That’s admirable of an actor to do enough preparations for a role. That’s what many good actors do actually. Like if they are to play a role of a villager, they would go and live among the the villagers for some time and pick up their mannerism for eg. Gong Li was known to do that. Other actors would learn abt a certain profession if they’re to play roles that work in those lines.

Someone down here is so weird. Writing a comment(more like a long rant that makes no sense + fan essay) but tell ppl not to reply. Why comment then? Save the energy and time for better things. Couldn’t even spell the director’s name right but talked as if she/he knows him & his works so well. The worst kinda comments always come from ppl who say they don’t watch the drama but have so many things to rant abt it. It makes everything they say invalid. WKW had explained why he made the drama to look like a different time period. The original author agreed with it & gave his input which makes WKW’s decision make sense. That person also went & ranted abt Xin Zhilei & the rest of her/his long essay became a promo piece abt another actress 🙄 Is this person bitter that Lili’s role went to XZL? SHE IS PERFECT AS LILI. In fact I’m mostly mesmerized by her than the other 2 FLs.
