This is her first XianXia as main female lead. She has great line execution and great acting. Her breakout role was actually The Knockout. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 the directors were able to give CYI and LYT good advice and let them both shine as their perspective characters. I know they both will deliver

It’s mostly brotherhood like MLC. Lu Yun, Wu Ding Yuan and Qin Zhongshan (they all have a small love story but Lu Yuns is more heartbreaking) go through life and death for justice and peace, to rid the court of corruption and bring equality as well. As for the other male leads are all about power, status and martial prowess.

Idk why feel like the red moon pact story is the worst out of the three.
It’s hard to adapt given they intersect with so many love stories. And they tried to focus more on their backstory when the book/ anime focuses on Modern as they recall their memories of their past. Red Moon Pact story arc definitely should have been last of the installment. Part 2 should have come first and 1&3 should come at the same time. Ofc, 3 would probably out perform 1 anyway because there was no real drive besides Yuechu character. I didn’t get much from Hong Hong.

I believe the last two have a better storyline and more action vs cgi. I think these two will be a lot better.

Gu Qianxi and Lu Yun are lovers. But I read somewhere Lu Yun failed to make their wedding date and disappears for 10 yrs. 4years later she is married off to Yang Su guan not b/c she wanted to but there was no better option given the family situation . In the novel Yang Su Guan has many admirers Yan Ting can be said to be his lover. YSG only has eyes for Gu Qianxi due to her talent, beauty and knowledge + status but its mere infatuation not love.

Thanks for the link. I really don’t like actors being dubbed because it just makes the role seem less appealing and authentic. I love his original voice. 🙏🏼 for it to air by the end of this year

Such great news! We share common favs. But I am hoping she can get in on the project. I hope to see her w/ other actors as well like XZ or LYX. But b/c I love CY and want to see them in another drama (modern) I wouldn't mind.
