Lawyers are chiming in on how accurate Yu Meng is approaching the situation. But we can believe whatever. Here is proof of lawyer commenting on the drama: In real-life divorce cases, the biggest concern isn't "lack of evidence," but rather "illegally obtained evidence," which ultimately renders it unusable. A telling detail in the series: upon suspecting Di Liren of infidelity, Yu Meng's first instinct was to visit a hospital for a health check-up to safeguard her own well-being, before bringing in Jiao Xu to investigate further.
Once Jiao Xu took over, he didn't begin by addressing emotions; instead, he immediately requested key documents such as five years' worth of bank statements, property and equity records, and details of asset transactions. This sequence is entirely appropriate. In reality, too, one should first regain composure, then examine financial assets, and finally gather and preserve evidence.
First category: chat records.
WeChat messages, text messages, and social media conversations can reveal instances of infidelity, etc.
friends, property management, hotels, or transportation platforms can play a supporting role. However, single witness testimonies alone are usually insufficient; ideally, they should be cross-checked with chat logs, transfer records, travel itineraries, and contractual documents.
Finally, a word of caution: in real life, avoid installing hidden microphones, secretly filming private spaces, or illegally obtaining others' account credentials in pursuit of evidence. Likewise, refrain from publicly disseminating private photos or videos of others.
Such actions not only risk rendering the evidence invalid but may also expose you to civil or even criminal liability.
In "Beauty Yu," Yu Meng chose to pursue legal channels rather than engaging in emotional confrontation-a choice worth emulating.
Truly useful evidence isn't about quantity-it's about legality, completeness, and forming a coherent chain of proof. If you detect potential property-related risks within your marriage, prioritize securing original evidence and promptly consult a professional attorney; this approach is far more prudent than recklessly
Don’t forget that she is also brainwashed by Di Liren. And people get super selfish in their desires. For Lu…
True. Both are not innocent. But she is brainwashed thinking that DL will keep his promise because she was holding onto what they had in the past. He is manipulating her by telling her that the three of them will be together and what matters most is her and the son. But for how long, it was only suppose to be a temporary solution. So how do you keep someone by your side? By telling them what they want to hear. Empty promises and falsehoods. Yes, I agree she did push him towards that direction. So you can say she is partly sober. But her awakening is finally being realized because her son is in the middle of this mess now
They should have balanced it with some wins on the good side or have JXs character be a little more proactive...
I agree w/ Tong Jie on this one if we solely focused more on the wins from the good people than that would make it seem like this case was not as difficult. Even Jiao Xu mentioned at the very beginning “ if divorce had a difficulty tier then congratulations you have the max one.” Besides depending on how great or severe the case is cases can last 6months to 3 years. I don’t think someone who has stepped away from all the handlings of their own assets and company would have an easy battle. I take it as 1 step forward and 5 steps backwards but slow and steady in the legal system always finds justice somewhere as long as the court is not corrupt or bought off.
I'm convinced the rating is low because we're being ragebaited every ep, but this is one of my fave dramas out…
The funny thing is that we are ok with ML gaslighting in a drama but when a FL is going through rage baiting we rate it low because we as viewers want to see more sweet and sexual tension on screen VS the difficulties a character goes through. I honestly love this drama, it’s crazy and the pacing is so fast that yes maybe we should slow down a bit and focus more on some of Yu Meng, Liu Zi and Jiao Xu side to take away from falsehoods and scamming. But I am enjoying the performance and directing because the same director did the Epoch Miyu and it did well but still got MDL low rating too
Seriously Lu Hui should be greatful to Yu Meng that despite everything YM never targetted Harry...someone else…
Don’t forget that she is also brainwashed by Di Liren. And people get super selfish in their desires. For Lu Hui it’s her son’s lively hood. But isn’t this how bad people think? Once they see an opportunity they take advantage of the situation and risk it b/c what do they have to lose when they are already at a low point in their life? Once greed, power and money takes place they keep wanting more. Lu Hui may say that she doesn’t care much for the money and wants to ensure her son is set for the rest of his life but who is she fooling only herself. Because deep down she already knows she is doing the worst kind of evil to someone who was born in a more fortunate situation. Also, Yu Meng knows if she does any act of violence in a divorce proceeding it will count against her and her chances of winning will become even more dire.
C-drama is obsessed with saint-like FLs. The FL of this drama isn’t realistic at all. How can she keep people…
Obviously, you haven’t experienced divorce proceedings at this level. I know many people who have been in similar situations, and you need to remain composed because a single misstep could be exploited by the other party in court (these cases can take months to years, not days). Even Jiao Xu admitted at the onset of her case is likely at the most challenging stage because Di Liren is a con artist who has already laid the groundwork long before she discovered it, so they require irrefutable evidence. Even a lawyer commented that Yu Meng must obtain this information through legal means, as it would be hearsay otherwise. If she fails to find solid proof of Di Liren tampering with health records, assets, or other relevant information, the case will be dismissed, and she will ultimately lose everything because he controls all aspects of it. And she is not a saint at all; it’s just that she is finally coming to terms with everything because she was shielded from all of this.
Starting to get worried about the title of this cdrama... foreshadowing DL's final move..?
No, it’s not that. But she is hinting that if one day she does disappear it would be because of her husband. But the foreshadowing in my perspective is removing her footprint in everything she owns, social media and her fortunate life. But then again, one of the episodes Di Liren did mention to get rid of her completely (his POV probably means murder, which falls back on the original story and I just found that out) but Lu Hui wants nothing to do with that. But both ML and FL have hinted that the ending is happy from their interviews.
For screenshot evidence, you can visit the Weibo link I provided in the first comment. I am very, very sad to…
Tysm for speaking up for her! She is an artist whom does not have any backing and better yet less influence on the production team. She is so easy going and I love her. I love CYI too. The production crew and writer screwed both of them and I am so pissed for both. You get two amazing actors together just to put them on a butcher block 🤬. Now these black accnts or people targeting the FL for baseless claims just because plot did not go your way 🙄.I am a major fan of the donghua so I was trying my best not to be as bias but after ep. 15 they completely changed the og story and wang Quan arc. Ugh, I think sometimes these production teams and writers likes to shoot themselves in the foot for making these changes. So I am hoping with the new regulations incoming will make sure better scripts are delivered to artists and they get the full script and not half.
Haha, different tone and different genre. FL is not a hopeless romantic and it kind of coincides with modern women…
Haha, everyone’s FL character preference is different. I personally resonate with her and enjoyed her. It’s refreshing to see the atypical noble lady behavior (similar to The New life Begins). TLOZH (The Legend of Zanghai), TG (The Glory), GOTDF Guardians of the Dafeng (hint of some humor) these are more on the serious side and based on novels. I personally couldn’t get into TPG The Princess Gambit.

His bitterness came from obsession and unwillingness to let go of past grudges. He wanted an outlet so he pinned everything on NH even when the evidence was clear (angsty and messy for sure). Song Yimeng executed her love-hate perfectly too. It’s just from our gods eye view and narrative we wanted her to resolve (her internal conlicts or knots in her heart) sooner b/c NH showed his sincerity no matter what identity. Her displaced thoughts and emotions always led her to act subconsciously vs consciously. I still stand by my thought that she was a perfectly flawed character inside a crazy, script that didn’t make sense from the beginning so we cannot take it too seriously like TPOB, TLOZH, GOTDF or TG (because those are more based on novels so story telling is crucial and accuracy) while this being an original copyright you can get creative and be as crazy as you want with the script, which allowed both the producer, director, writers and artists have the freedom to create but still maintain the theme or focus of the plot which is tackling prejudice, facing fears and becoming your own hero while tackling the different dimensions. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and having a discussion with me
oh gosh I almost gave up at Ep 26, and it will get messed up in the episodes ahead. Hold on until the end. Just…
Yes, totally aware of NH/Li16 appeal. But what I was getting at is the mere fact that the scriptwriter changed his character from the original script. He was no longer the cold, ruthless, killer prince whom wanted the throne w/his uncle who the audience cannot relate or appeal to. Instead, we got the protagonist that you speak of. And NH was more polished because the story wrapped more around his from the 1D script. I sensed that the script already geared off track after episode 3. And started realizing things were not happening the way she remembered the script. And how the details were already changing the original plot. But maybe, some audiences feel this way because we don’t fully know the original script details besides the iconic scenes vs the 2dimensional story that was being rewritten by the other scriptwriter in the 3D world. And she wrote the 2D scriptwriter in because his work was garbage so that he can get a taste of his own work, lol. Also, through the female scriptwriter she is basically writing the script as we are watching it unfold as well. So that most definitely plays into maybe why the plot to some did not seem as polished. But I think the timing of it all also has to do with the second script layer. Her awakening didn’t fully take into effect until the second writer in the 3D world changed her story.
Haha, different tone and different genre. FL is not a hopeless romantic and it kind of coincides with modern women…
Haha, the love and hate trope in all dramas always playing mind games with us when we want a straight forward relationship. But audiences like messy and angsty.
I'm on episode 23 now and 4 of the supposed "iconic scenes" have happened now and none happened the same…
She is a perfectly flawed character finding herself within a script. This is probably how the script wanted the character to be portrayed. Showing us that not all heroine is strong, noble, well-rounded and talented. If every FL character were the standard of what we expect what fun is creative writing. Thus, the deeper meaning to her character is we have a gods eye view of her while she has one on Nan Heng. We have prejudice/ bias over such characters without knowing their journey/backstory or the expectation that every FL should be a certain way or act in such a state. So her finding her true awakening within the script might not be everyone’s cup of tea but how do we know if it wasn’t the first scriptwriter manipulating her actions the whole time? She might have thought she was sober the entire time but not.
It wasn't for 'no reason.' The characters acted the way they did for much of the drama because that's the way…
100% agree with this comment. This drama was much more than just the laughter, the satire, making sense of the script inside the drama. It’s literally a script inside a script. And the events didn’t make sense b/c Nan Heng and SYM started changing the script. For all we know inside the original script were the iconic scenes not the details. Maybe some are more focused about what the original ridiculous script inside ADWAD was, which was written by the first scriptwriter from the first dimension. While others must have not noticed that the change in script started happening from the actual writer in the 2D layer. 😅🤣 But the main point of this drama is basically poking fun at c-ent, tackling prejudice, Facing your fears and becoming your own hero/heroine. It’s brilliant and the acting was amazing!
oh gosh I almost gave up at Ep 26, and it will get messed up in the episodes ahead. Hold on until the end. Just…
Here we are as an audience pitying NH which is what the manager wanted from ep. 1 thus overlooking SYM and seeing more of her flaws. If the original script was kept we would have said the opposite. How this drama teaches us that we all have bias from our gods eye view too b/c we all have this standard of what a character should be like or what we want to see on the screen. But SYM and NH actually have similar backstories. Just one is more willing to resist fate and the other is too afraid of fate. Both sincere characters just being manipulated by the script and both redeemed themselves in different ways. They both deserve e/o
Watched this mainly for Liu Yu Ning. The romance and plot is not as good as The Prisoner of Beauty. (But hey,…
Haha, different tone and different genre. FL is not a hopeless romantic and it kind of coincides with modern women thinking now-a-days. I love this because they put a lot of thought in how a modern woman would think inside ancient text. But their interaction seems more natural. Loved TBOP, but it did not get me fully immersed emotionally and psychologically. Maybe it’s b/c I have seen too many historical drama w/ similar storyline just different character plot lines (so it was predictable).
