Weakened by both Hong Ye and Huai Zhu. He wanted to go by himself. It’s possible it could have turned out differently if he actually went by himself. And yes, it’s the price they all paid. I think the one who was not prepared was Yitan. He left his guard down with his grandpa and Zui.

She possessed Yitan. Through him she knew all of their moves
Maybe this is a weakness of the clairvoyant eye. You can predict everything around you but not yourself.

For me I actually think it was the grandpa b/c masked to me could be anything. And only the Yang family know of the secrets to the clairvoyant.

Yes, so Hong hong and Yuechu weakens the black fox. But Fugui will be the one to end the black fox entirely.

I've some doubts/confusions .I hope someone can clear them, please. So First of all Who taught MU MIE , YANG YITAN'S…
Shi Jin was actually just a shell to hide the real identity of the black fox empress. Jin Lan was also just a shell. The Black Fox Empress never truly shows herself and always appears as a dark nebula of clouds/ stars and a pair of eyes. She takes over anyone who has deep hate/resentment. Hint: in both dramas she even hints that she is neither Shi Jin or Jin Lan she is the black fox.

I do get why you are questioning why the Tushan clan were involved when in the original IP did not include Hong Hong or Yaya in the ZhuYe arc. And Hong Hong never really appears unless the Tushan Clan was under threat otherwise Yaya and Rong Rong always handled everything else. RMP happens after LIP even though the Tushan have lived for hundreds of years. RMP is more parallel to Sword and Beloved. LIP is the story pre-RMP and Sword and below oved.

Also, there is an extra chapter for Qin lan. She gets rescued, married to her benefactor and has Yuechu.

Lastly, Mu Mie does not say who taught him because he said it was a masked guy. Yitan and Zui questions if it was him before they left the boundary. But because they foresaw their fate 20years later they decided to leave the boundary earlier to stop the eternal night from happening l

i just finished and and just skimmed through till the ending because i got spoiled with just everything so now…
She was actually weakened/temporarily suppressed. But can be awakened by the growing hate/ resentment between demons and humans. Why she came back in Red Moon Pact using Shi Jin. Yes, this wasn’t a great solution but this is the result of chivalry. Even they themselves said we know the end result but we still want to change fate as long as there is some hope of peace in the future.

an average drama which became a masterpiece in last 5 episodes and the last episode was simply one of the best…
Yes, the last episodes from 31-36 were definitely the highlight. And well said.

Understandable. I loved every moment of this story. Bitter endings/BE always leave the biggest impression on me…
Understand your rationale. In a world of chaos people want to see hope and happiness not the other way around. But that’s why there are BE and HE just like Yin and Yang, there is a balance somewhere. Also, Xianxia is not made to be realistic more fantastical. Which is why more people gravitate towards Wuxia drama. These endings are definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. But a BE/SE is better than open ended one. And because it stuck to its original premise from the original IP I’m really satisfied with the ending.

I honestly wished this installment came first. How all the black accounts and negativity that came from the first installment was passed to the second. They received double the amount in comparison to other dramas. LIP was far better than the first.

She possessed Yitan. Through him she knew all of their moves
Yes, I agree with this. Yitan being possessed was hidden in the shadows. Only to be manipulated by the black fox at the right time. No one knew which is why they were all confused. However, if he knew given that he has the clairvoyant eye wouldn’t he be able to predict this? My thing is how was he not able to control his own thoughts of fear/hate to fight against the black fox? Especially for how careful he is with all his actions

Yes, the one thing they could not foresee was Yitan Grandpa being possessed by the Black Fox and using Zui. How this was the downfall of the masked men.

W/o the ending you wouldn’t have the third installment. It stayed true to the original story. It’s exactly what I expected from the ZhuYe arc. There is nothing that should be changed.

Hong Ye loses his father, sister, and the Masked Daoists....... his only Family. Then just when Huaizhu's love…
Omg, beautifully written! Yes, you can see how much regret and pain he was in after losing his sister and the masked men. But Huai Zhu passing in front of his eyes and drawing the final blow was definitely the reason why he became the cold ruthless ruler. The burden of protecting the world by himself, and creating a world where all things to coexist peacefully came at a price. His freedom to be willful, rebelliousness and to love all buried away to make himself stronger and to protect those around him. I really hope in the next installment they explore Hong Ye and Fugui relationship, his internal conflicts while raising Fugui etc… and give us a good closure for him. Just how much I want him to be freed and to reunite w/ Huai Zhu + masked man knowing the world will be at peace.

I’ve been waiting for this adaptation and it did not disappoint . I loved it from ep.1 b/c they used all of the iconic scenes. I am actually in an infinite loop of rewatching b/c although tragic like what most are saying. This drama left the biggest impression on me. After watching a few more times you understand how precious their love was and to have e/o. Both were e/o love and resolve. An escape from the injustices but also a light to what the future could be.

they got married. but why do I feel sad on their wedding 💔
Yes a love so deep but neither of them can enjoy the happy moment when both are emotionally broken from the transpired events. Although they are happy to be in e/o embrace or happily married it was not the outcome they expected.

Understandable. I loved every moment of this story. Bitter endings/BE always leave the biggest impression on me just like One and Only. It allows you to feel the deep precious love and regret of the character. Also, how cruel fate can be no matter how good, righteous and honorable people are. The last thing I would note is that they didn’t change the main characters love story or otherwise we would not have a 3rd installment. Even if the world is in chaos these stories are beautiful because not every story is always perfect or the ideal situation.
