I just finished reading the story and it's amazing! I hope they release the drama soon, and if they're faithful to the story, it will be incredible from beginning to end. I'm just worried because the story is quite long and it seems like we'll only have 24 episodes? Even if they were hour-long episodes (which they aren't), it still wouldn't be even half the story; they probably cut a lot out.

Up until the last chapter of the novel (not counting the special chapters), the ending is happy, Duan Xu doesn't die. In the last chapter, with his last breath, the deity appears and saves him, making Simu mortal, and they live their mortal lives happily ever after. Why on earth didn't they make that ending in the last episode, just like in the last chapter of the novel? What's the point of adapting a story into a drama if you're not going to faithfully follow the story and change several things in the drama? Why did they just change the ending? There isn't much history about them after the FL's revival. In the novel, Shen Yue runs away from home to avoid marriage, and the prince takes her in, but doesn't pay her much attention and even uses her for his own purposes.
