Justice and truth are definitely not being served in all this. Society has failed a young girl who took her life, even if the causes are many layered. The real problems, the misogyny, the fake lives that so many celebrities are forced to live, the pressure on both gals and guys, the toxic masculinity that poisons so much, all these things are not being addressed. We enjoy these dramas and what is the cost of the system that creates them? Behind the veil is not pretty. It would be good if the truth would come out, if lessons could be learned, but it seems more coverups are happening, to protect a system that should not be protected. These are the times we are living in, throughout the world, but these times are also calling out for us to stop hiding behind hypocrisy and stop trying to make gods out of people, especially little boys, who are faulty humans just as much as anyone else.
After that burning sun and prior scandals, honestly i have been disgusted with anything Korean tbh. Before i used…
Hate to burst your bubble, but do you realize how misogynist the Chinese government is? Do you really think they are any different - not according to my Chinese friends - in fact in the whole world as long as misogyny is so rampant , where women are denigrated and whatever is considered feminine is denigrated, gay is denigrated -as they are definitely in Korea and in China and soon to be in the US - abuse is rampant
It amazes me how quick people are to play self-righteous as if they have never done anything wrong in their life.…
You don’t seem to realize that you are making a lot of assumptions and allegations yourself while accusing others of doing that themselves. Everything you state is conjecture, even if there is a tinge of fact, here or there. But the most important thing is that a young girl took her life, a young girl who should still be alive, and no matter what led to it, we should care. we should want to be tearing apart the system that allows this. Guys suffer, of course, but gals always get a double whammy of blame. These things do not just happen in South Korea, humans are very immature, as we can see in what’s happening in the US and in many places of this world where there is so much dishonesty and violence, especially toward women, or those who dare to be themselves, to be different, to be free. These performers are kept in such tight cubicles, it is amazing that any of them come away intact -while we profit from their performances, yet close our eyes to the harm that they go through, harming themselves and others as a result.
For an executive director, Dan-Soo has so much time on his hands, doing nothing but butt-sniffing, as usual. Gong-Hee's.…
What an immature comment, usually when someone is very insecure, and degrading someone else because they feel insecur- it’s OK to feel insecure, i’ll have to deal with some insecurity but it’s not OK to write such degrading commen… doesn’t make anybody think one is strong or manly or whatever
