She’s overwhelmed, and as the sole parent of her kids, she has to pick and choose her battles, it was easier to apologise than start a lesson correcting her son which might end in tears and make her day even more frustrating.

Shattering that oblivion of the fruit wasn’t the one he thought it was would have taken more energy from her that she didn’t have
