Apparently the station only had one anchor position open and it was originally offered to tamtawan. Tamtawan turned it down so that pathapi could get it, but he didn't say anything about his sacrifice to pathapi. Later he gradually felt 'unworthy' of pathapi and eventually broke up with him. So it's a case of self-sacrifice and insecurity
The gaps in this heart tugging plot are; leaving without explanation. Sending a break up text just minutes before pathapi's first big career break was a very cruel thing to do. Second; trying to get back together. Coming to save pathapi when he's in a bind is indeed in tune with his self sacrificing nature, but why does he want to get back together? Does he feel worthy of pathapi now? Will he get insecure again when pathapi regains his success? Does he expect pathapi to see past the double layers of his own hurt and confusion, and tawan's confident, cocky mask without any communication? Am I expecting too much of a light heated series? Probably 😅
Warning(again); shippers look away please, you might not like the next paragraph. But if you are interested in seeing accurate references to real life without getting offended, carry on
In real life, the first two years after sotus, krist was getting significantly more job offers than singto, and it was tearing the fandom apart. Krist tried to fix this by frequently insisting on bringing singto along with him, and insisting they were a package deal. He only started focusing on his solo career i.e songs and BG series when singto's solo career took off. When asked if he would act in BL series again, he said he would prefer to act with only singto, but it's ultimately up to the company. Idk how much of that was true or was for fanservice to be honest (yes, I'm saying actors lie about these things sometimes in the name of fanservice, it's literally part of their contract). I remember fans blaming krist for being the reason they never got a new BL because singto was obviously comfortable with BL, only to find out in a recent interview where singto hinted at turning down a role for their series that he in fact, was not. So irl singto didn't have to sacrifice job opportunities for krist, at least not to the best of my knowledge. Tawan leaving pathapi at a sensitive time is half accurate and half not, krist was indeed in the middle of the famous homophobia allegations, and singto leaving did seem to tacitly solidify these allegations, coupled with the fact they he was visibly distant. New fans might not know this but prior to 2020, they both brought their A game fanservice wise, before things changed and singto became more passive and introverted. So on the outside it does look like krist was 'abandoned in his time of need', but recent interviews has shown that it was misunderstanding plus bad timing. Singto was going through a tough time with his mental health, and he needed a change of environment.
The no explanation thing; again half true, half not. The real life story we're going with is; singto left so that krist could be known as krist perawat, not kristsingto, krist kept begging singto to come back and singto did, because of him. While this leaves a weird aftertaste because it understates Krist's hard work and career and makes him look selfish, I understand it was the level of propaganda needed to stage a comeback. The actual reasons aren't so romantic lol. Both krist and singto kept in touch , met, played games and are in the same friend group while singto was gone, plus before this comeback they were both VERY invested in their solo careers. True, krist revealed that he initially got worried that singto leaving had something to do with him, because singto didn't end up studying abroad like he said he would, but he's weaning himself off his bad habit of overthinking. In this I think they are paired well; krist tends to get overly emotional and dependent on his friends, expecting them to go the Extra mile like he would. Singto is a firm believer in self love and not compromising your needs for others, so I hope krist learns this from him. I'm grateful krist seems to be more laid back and less emotional recently, probably singto's influence 🫠 Not saying friends going the extra mile is a bad thing, it's just a burden when it's an expectation. That being said, krist doesn't own gmmtv, I assure you he was not responsible for singto coming back. Singto left for good reasons and came back on his own merit, also for reasons he doesn't need to explain to anyone else, imho . Lastly the romance; ship as you please, that's the literal point lol. But gentle reminder that they've both being upfront about their sexual orientations and the nature of their friendship. Wouldn't want to see another round of pestering when fans can't cope with either one of them being in a relationship
Ahhhh not shirtless krist looking like a five course meal🙈 I still think pataphi is being too accommodating lol that's why tawan has the audacity to flirt and act like nothing happened. This is strictly for entertainment purposes please don't entertain 'loved ones' who abandon you at important times and waltz back with a cocky smirk and no explanation 😂🙏 I'm more interested in tawan's reason for not explaining anything than the actual reason he left, and if he'll disappear again after saving pathapi's career
The sudden drop in script, editing and directing quality is sad. Seems I celebrated too early😅
In my humble opinion phi isn't mad at tam enough, sometimes it looks like he's just pissed his boyfriend forgot their anniversary or something, and not that he was dumped for no reason and with no explanation. It's probably a problem with the script, and today's episode was especially weak, complete with mismatched bgm and not funny comic skits.
But yeah the first episode was good, there's at least that. Hopefully the next one will be better
If the teaser is right then tawan is softening pathapi up just so he can leave him again. That's emotional abuse💔 and I know a lot of things have been changed or exaggerated for entertainment purposes, but I'm proud irl that krist was able to rise above the backlash from netizens. I'm also glad and honestly surprised that more people are speaking up for him now, noticed it since BMF
And Tae does NOT look like a mountain goat pathapi😭
lol then again Japan's weather forecasters tend to go viral, so it might be the same culture as in Thailand? I…
Really? Wow I didn't know that. And how did you know, I was scared it was going to be exactly like cooking crush, which I'm not saying is bad, just not my cup of tea
Thank you for this. Krist has been through a lot and is still going through a lot. I can't count how many times…
I like that you mentioned different fan bases. I'm telling you that's not what happened but if your mind is already made up, that's fine. And no, I'm not defending GK fans and I'm not one myself. Let's just agree to disagree
Thank you for this. Krist has been through a lot and is still going through a lot. I can't count how many times…
Oh. Just that it wasn't gawinkrist fans that were the culprits. It was from home base, sadly, but they are big, important accounts in the fandom that have done similar things in the past, so the fandom quickly covered it up and pinned it on gawinkrist fans, but some GK fans were also being toxic so it wasn't a complete lie😅
I checked out boys in luv since p waa is the director and I've been very impressed with his past works . It was very different to what I expected😅, but then again maybe he's trying out a new genre. I will be waiting for Wu though, still a wasutheep fan😁
Jokes aside, it's a really funny thing. Once a narrative is stuck it's unbelievably hard to change it. Those fans were practically worshipping pathapi one minute and the throwing stuff at him the next. In reality, it was culture shock for me. When I first met krist in sotus, I was wowed. Me and a lot of ppl lol initially arthit was everyone's sweetheart. But things started to turn sour and when I first heard about krist having a gf, I was shocked. Not at the the gf lol, but at these 'fans' who had 'loved' him totally switching up on him. They felt very entitled too, and no one ever apologised for harrasing him. Krist makes one igs that didn't translate well and till date is stuck with the home of phobia allegations. Does it matter that he apologised (via live conference, mind you)? No. Does it matter that he's an ally? No. Have any of the experts claiming he's a terrible person using BL for money checked up on his work or character? No. Do they care? No. As a fan it's so weird seeing ppl talk about krist because WHO are you talking about? Why so comfortable lying through your teeth about someone whose full name you probably can't even spell? I'm accustomed to it now though but it hurts like hell at first
For those who want to know; krist has always been good at emoting. He'not oscar level(not yet lol) but I personally find his acting very engaging, and recently more polished. He wasn't a good singer at first but he is now. I thought he was a good kisser in sotus, especially sotus s , but that's overshadowed over the 'why did he wipe his lips? See? Home of phobic!' allegations. He got especially good at kissing in a lakorn called the war of flowers, and some of y'all got to see the improvement in BMF, and now here. He's a people pleaser and prefers saying only good things about people, so yeah it's really easy to take him for granted 😅. He's a workaholic, rarely ever praises his own self, gets shy when people do(like no, no,no, you're too kind☺️) has four cats, plans to have a monkey (idk if he was joking😭), is a singer, songwriter , MC, show producer, musician and actor(sounds exhausting 😵💫), is wild and a fanservice king, but also does 'blushing omega' very, VERY well(please don't call real ppl omega unless they call themselves that), can be handsome/daddy when he needs to be but personality type is cutie patootie, gives 120% for his friends and is loved and respected by his nongs and colleagues (a bit too much, and he's kinda sad about it because he likes cute, naughty ppl and teasing banter). Oh and he pretends he can't dance but he does a good job when he needs to (cough hit me up cough) It's not been too bad because he's shown me the benefits of having your own thing outside fan bubble, where things can change at any time (and oh did it change 🙂) and how you really have to find out things for yourself and make up your own mind (the things I read about krist get wilder everyday 😂) but most importantly I had to face butter truths and ugly flaws. The industry as a whole, how unfair it is to idolise ppl that are only human, how my happiness shouldn't come at the cost of someone else's. So yeah, I like his acting, singing, talents and VISUALS 🫠 but I LOVE everything I've learned because I got to know him❤️
Warning; novel spoilers ahead
