Comic relief or background props lol. You're absolutely right about everything, Asia is generally biased to fair skin; the whiter the better. Though I think it's more colorism than racism. The have ancient proverbs likening all that is bad or poor to having darker skin, e.g the glabella being dark is a sign of misfortune. It is also a fact that staying under the sun makes the skin darker. I'm black myself, but I find it hard to point fingers myself because sooo many coloured people are racist and or colorist too, but we think it's okay because it's only racism when it's towards blacks or Asians. Just like heterophoria or androphobia is okay because only hate towards the LGBTQ or women is considered an issue. I've seen so many people reduce fair skinned people to just the color of their skin and then hate them for it in a bid to uplift tan or dark skin. I'm also not naive enough to believe that if dark skin becomes the trend , the money maker or the demand of the majority, we would not develop an elitist mindset. The conclusion to this depressing post is that save a few, we are all birds of a feather. P.S thankfully there are more and more tan skin beauty product reps in Thailand, and the obsession to have fair skin is slowly wearing off

I was there when people praised his acting, then bashed him when he started acting in straight dramas and again with the scandal, but what to do, even with the whole internet saying he can't act, he keeps receiving praises from directors and veterans while continuously improving, and now I believe he has the potential to go mainstream if he keeps at it. 3.
