I enjoyed this show a lot even tho objectively it is pretty flawed.
Some things I liked - LenaMiu chemistry is unmatched and everything felt super intense. - Acting was outstanding, esp. Lena delivered one of the best performances in a GL I've ever seen. I felt like I had a completely different person in front of me, not Lena anymore. - The two central conflicts were convincing imo. 1) I'm usually tired of the 'parents meddling' trope but in this case it made sense that her dad was against them dating since basically the same thing happened to him and it ended badly; 2) Pan lying to Pheem was the wrong choice but it was very much understandable why she acted that way and a legit inner conflict.
Dislikes - the SA was utterly unnecessary and gross. Making Pheem verbally abusive would have sufficed to show the toxicity, esp. since her violent behaviour was never properly addressed later on. - 8x45mins was wayyy to short, it should have been 10x1h at least so it wouldn't feel so rushed, esp. PheemPan's ep7 reconciliation. - last ep was kinda underwhelming and the fighting scene too long and meh. Honestly I wish they would have cut that whole part out and given more screentime to Pheem actually begging Pan for forgiveness after finding out the truth (instead of the SA nonsense she did). and for the love of god, pls stop cramming in a wedding into the last 5 seconds of an episode,.
miu can't act , she is beautiful and sweet but can't act. The story is very rushed i wished ch3 would give them…
That's an exaggeration. Obvi she's not on Lena's level, but it's 10+ years in the industry vs a newcomer, so that's only natural. Imo she's doing well overall and has improved since MSZ. Her character is also very reserved but when it's her time to shine (the pain in her eyes when Peem pays her 1M, when she finally stood up to her dad, the fear when she thought she'd lost Peem after her drinking all those shots, to name a few examples) I found her performance convincing.
Back from my nth rewatch and this remains one of the best gl ever made. Interesting and well written storyline, the romance has wonderful build-up, phenomenal acting, insane chemistry, side characters that actually serve a purpose and one of the best secondary ships I've seen. Still heartbroken we won't be seeing the actresses together again.

Well, to me it seems you have already made up your mind and aren't really willing to listen to what other people tell you. YOU think Us and Love Design (another one I adore) are weak, YOU think they have weak character development, but other people feel completely different. The reason ppl criticise MS is not bc of some hidden agenda against non-CP work and they aren't pretending to suddenly care about writing, that has always been the case. The explanation for the thing that you find bewildering is simply that many viewers genuinely love the writing/character development in those other shows you mentioned but hate what was done in MS, hence the criticism.
Besides, saying ppl don't care about bad writing in other shows is not true. Plenty of other gls have gotten overwhelmingly negative or at the least very mixed comments/reviews/feedback and there was no non-CP work involved.

I won't go into the details of Us here bc it's not the place, so let's just say I strongly disagree that the characters weren't explored in that show. And respectfully, I don't understand why you insist the problem for people is actors branching out when there are hundreds of comments on twt and dozens here explaining why everyone is dissatisfied. No communication, no build-up, no explanation where the big feelings suddenly came from. There are many shows out there that aren't plot driven but character focused. That might not be everyone's cup of tea but that doesn't mean those shows are bad or that there aren't objective differences between this show and Us for example. Moonshadow's world-building is extremely poor. After 10 eps, what do we effectively know about Chan? Almost nothing. Whereas I could write an entire book about Pam's character. Us touches on so many (difficult) topics and all of them are handled with great care and are explored in much detail, that's why a lot of viewers could connect to its characters, while MS left us starving.

Yup, Pheem is straight up psychotic when she's mad, she knew exactly what she was doing when she said those words, hurting her as much as possible was her intention. I need her to get down on her knees again and beg and cry and grovel to make up for everything she said to Pan once she learns the truth.
wow that was heavy but in a good way. idk but I'm enjoying this show a lot bc everything is so incredibly intense and it makes me feel 100 emotions at a time. both characters' choices may be stupid or frustrating at times but I can always understand where they're coming from or why they're acting a certain way. for all the criticism CH3 shows get I think they did a really good job of showing the reasoning behind Pheem's/Pan's decisions and the conflict doesn't feel forced or anything.
btw did I miss sth or did we ever get a reason why the mom treats Sun and Chan so differently? not only bc of Key, it look likes Chan can do no right whereas Sun can talk back to her and she'll laugh it off and is never mad at her. just struck me as odd.

Which is kinda sad bc when it comes to acting talent imo GMMTV is the strongest company overall (and some like Piploy or KapookCiize haven't even gotten that gl lead role they deserve). Don't put words in my mouth, I have absolutely nothing against Namtan. In fact she's one of my fav actresses. Look at my profile, out of the 70+ shows I watched, Us and Pluto are the only ones I rated 10 and imo Namtan in that show is the best acting performance I've ever seen in a gl.

Several reasons: 1) Film is a phenomenal actress and one of the best in the entire tgl sphere and I would have wanted for her to do sth on her own, independent of the CP for once. 2) It's a cheap cop-out and lazy writing. The writers know exactly that the chemistry is already there without them doing anything and that lots of people will eat this up simply bc it's NTF (The same happened with the EmiBonnie moments in GR). 3) I find the question "how else will Jay move on" quite strange tbh. Not everyone needs to be in a relationship all the time and you do not need a new romantic interest in order to move on from someone. You can just stay single for a while, deal with the pain and heal on your own. I don't understand ppl who jump from relationship to relationship in the real world either. Without some time alone (esp. after such an intense and several years long relationship) everything new will always feel like a rebound to me. (Idk if you watched Pluto but that is the perfect counterexample for me, the way they handled Oom's healing).
I agree tho that the ChanJay saga was dragged on wayyy too long. For me a new love interest would have worked if they had wrapped CJ up early (let's say ep 4 like you said), had some time pass and introduce Elle maybe in ep 8, and then give them some kind of open but hopeful ending. Instead, we're getting the 50th 'closure talk' in ep 9 lol.
