Exactly. We're at ep 6 and Key had more meaningful conversations with Jay than with Chan lol.

I thinks it's bc the sugar baby arrangement, as flawed as it was, created at least some believable chemistry due to Key basically pining after Chan right from the start and her constant teasing. Whereas them suddenly loving each other this much is not believable at all, which imo killed the whole vibe, made the grand declarations sound hollow and even the kissing/love scene look bland.
Very bad script writing, JayKey's "relationship" is better established and has more depth than ChanKey.

All the big love declarations are still kinda weird to me, both are still putting up a facade or sometimes even straight up lying (like Chan about her family being ok with her getting a tattoo). I wish we would have seen some deep conversations about their past & both showing their real me by now bc as it is I'm just not feeling what is supposed to be some great love story.

I'm glad we finally got the answer as to why Jay disappeared but the reason made no sense at all. If you have to decide between ghosting your supposed love of your life or simply talking to her and trying to find a solution together you go for option one??
Chan's confession came out of nowhere and way to early for me too. In the same ep she emphasised the sugar baby relation ship several times and 5 secs before talking to Key she told Jay she didn't believe in love anymore... Obvi there were signs she was also just putting on a mask and cared more about Key than she wanted to admit, but suddenly it's love? I think It's good that the triangle is over now but I was hoping Key and Chan becoming actual girlfriends would be more of a central story/conflict. I hope it won't end in 5 eps of pure family drama...
I had high hopes for this and liked the first few eps but it's become rather disappointing unfortunately.

Brilliant episode and the angst hurt soooo good, my god. Plus the acting's just on another level 🔥

At first I thought they might pull a "Pluto" and reveal at some point that Key actually met Sun in the past 😅 but now that they already met it doesn't look like it... In any case I love Sun, she's sassy, direct, takes no shit and seems to care a lot about Chan, I think she'll captain the ChanKey ship 🙂‍↕️

Would love to hear your thoughts on the plot holes! Bc I've seen several ppl mention them but never with a concrete example. imo the series was pretty much straightforward and not overly complex. Maybe some things weren't very much believable for some ppl but I think we got explanations for pretty much everything?
(Agree with the rest tho, the moral posturing is incredibly annoying and it's my fav GL of 2026 along with Hometown Romance)

I wouldn't really call it doomed, I mean they had 45 years together but it was sooo tough to watch but at the same time it made the ending for me so much better and elevated their love so much 😭😭😭 Wish I could crash out on twitter too, I'm in the wrong bubble for that, maybe I need a 2nd account 😭😭

Honestly yes. I don't think remembering a face as beautiful as Irene's years later is unrealistic, especially considering Gen's profession, it's certainly something that comes very natural to her. And it was made clear that she felt drawn to Irene immediately even if she couldn't remember her later, her subconscious did.

I agree, I also loved the theories but at the same time I thought making it about time travel would have been a big risk, too. Bc as a show writer you can't expect all viewers to have watched LBD, so those who hadn't either wouldn't have understood what was going on or you would have had to find a way to explain the time travel plot in this show which I believe would have been kinda weird. Overall I'm happy with the explanation of how Gen and Irene "knew" each other, I don't find it illogical at all, even if it was less deep than others have hoped for.

I'm very satisfied with the ending (even tho none of the big theories came true). For once a show that doesn't introduce unnecessary new drama plot in the last ep just for the sake of it. The resolution is done beautifully (and not in the last minutes), we get some cute and spicy GenAi in love and the last scene had me crying like a baby (again). By far one of the best GL this year.

Yes, I think she will shoot her shot, trying to make Gen remember their past, but when she realises there is no way they'd ever be together again she will "revive" Ai. If Irene were 100% evil, she wouldn't have saved Ai from her father. And the self-destruct was a desperate act to get the lab guys to back off. She might even have told them herself where GenAi were just to get this over with bc she didn't want them to be fugitives forever.
