The first two episodes are a promising start 🤞! I’m more excited by period dramas and usually I find the childhood part of dramas quite contrived or cringey but since I’d read the novel, I gave it a shot and whaddayaknow I binged watched the two episodes 😨.The child actors are great 👍

Yes I can see him in the role - charming with that hint of playful mischief.

Up till where I’ve read, Xiao Chang Qing is cool while I find Xiao Hua Yong a tad manic.

Oh that’s right - Royal Rumours with Jeremy Xu! He looks really good as the character Xiao Chang Qing in BoP. Am midway through this novel….its so long but good so far.

This title at least tries to be closer to the original Chinese one - sounds prettier than “generation to generation” and thank goodness no “blossoms” or “love”.

The novel is good; couldn’t put it down.

Seeing the trailers, ZLH and TXW are so good looking together I would probably watch them even if the production was sub-par. The beauty here is staggering.

I didn’t realise Dong ju is getting hate. That’s too bad. I agree with you….he’s a fresh character, slightly off-kilter and very spontaneous (fearless?) in his actions which probably causes discomfort for some. I think he’s vey fun to watch!

This is very good so far (episode 6). Park Bo Gum is fabulous as a slightly unhinged police officer/ex-athlete; the character Yoon Dong Ju is fresh and interesting . There’s action and comedy, some romance, and the mystery of who the ultimate villain is.

Perfectly balanced drama - looks like all the departments got the same memo, all working on the same frequency, same path; the whole production is a harmonious whole. They were all clear on how the final result should be - lighthearted yet not frivolous. Safe to say I enjoyed this drama. If only all dramas were so well produced, written, directed and acted. Special shout out to the martial arts choreography - interesting and well-executed fight scenes, SWL looked very good in them.

Just finished the novel - I have tears in my eyes. A heartfelt love story. What a wonderful ending. I thought it would have a similar trajectory to Speed and Love which I enjoyed reading, but I must say I love this story even more. Song Wei Long and Zhang Jing Yi - I can see them both as the leads.

Such a gorgeous cast ❤️❤️❤️

He played a righteous warrior in Guardians of the Dafeng and was good in that role.
