I’ve watched LLTG thrice. It gets better each time I watch it. The acting is top-notch. YAMG is also one of my faves. The Best Thing is definitely going to be a fave too.

I have a constant smile on my face watching this. A real treat when new episodes drop. I’m so glad the production team didn’t overdo the angst and maintained the lightheartedness and loveliness of the whole drama. Although there are a few more episodes to go, I dare say this drama is perfect.

This is a very, very underrated gem. Loved this beautiful little drama. Watched it when it was released and the feels still stay with me, still resonating. Suzy was wonderful, so was Yang Se Jong. Love is messy, it’s painful, it drives you nuts, yet it fills your whole being and the highs are unmatchable. And love under a spotlight as an idol is even more challenging. Idol or not, when it’s over, you’ve grown as a person, the broken heart heals over time, and you will never forget that chapter of your life. Absolutely love the song Ordinary Days sung by Suzy, permanent spot on my playlist - haunting, sad and sweet.

Absolutely loved this! Such a joy to watch, and all that gorgeous music too. It’s a classic. Its manga quirkiness makes it different. One of the best jdramas out there, IMHO.

There is sort of a love triangle, if i remember correctly, amongst An Jiu, Chu Ding Jiang and Hua Rong Jian. But it’s not a big issue in the novel.

If they were to follow the novel faithfully and Mei Jiu is reborn, they would most likely have to get another actress to play her. There’s no one on the cast list above at the moment though. perhaps they will write her out?

When are they going to release the rest? I’ve been wanting to watch Mei Chao Feng’s story…Meng Zi Yi was so good in the first instalment. She really showed off her acting chops. And I want to see her acting opposite He Yu 🔥

5 episodes in and this drama has ended my cdrama dry spell 🎉🎉.

He has clarity of mind and wisdom of a much older person…even though some readers might feel that Jiang Mu doesn’t balance him out, but he loves her precisely for her purity, loyalty and complete trust in him. It’s that ray of sun shining onto his miserable existence. He doesn’t want that ray of light to be dimmed because then he would lose it. The author makes total sense. And he made the right decision to not tell her because at the end, because of his unconditional and unselfish love ,he gets to live in the light with her. She is always a constant, consistently shining light. To her credit, she remains steadfast even through all the years of no contact. Life is “fair” in that way, it will throw you off but it will bring you back again, it’s never a one-to-one exchange. There is no need to make her suffer so much along as well, though I think to miss someone so much and not be able to contact him is very much a form of suffering in itself. If her character turned out differently, it would certainly be a different story.

Well, she did pull off the melancholic assassin role in My Journey To You which I initially thought would be a stretch for her.

Yes I started reading this because 1) it’s relatively short, and 2) I saw and like the drama pairing of Zhou Yi Ran and Bao Shang En. Visuals make reading the novel even more satisfying.

Yes I like Esther, except wish her voice register was lower. It does impact the characterisation. That’s her natural pitch though, I think? I like that although Jiang Mu’s sheltered, she’s gutsy and intelligent too.
