oh dear I feel your frustration. I enjoyed the progression of their love story - it's more of "show, not tell". Feng Yuan's obsession with her is right from the beginning; she's totally the light in his life. Her own revelation comes slowly but she does say those words out eventually, so hang in there! Sorry I can't help with the specific chapter as it's quite a few novels ago.

No, she’s not manly if that’s what you mean. Definitely the brightest mind in the room, next to the male lead. She’s a cool character, not a helpless one in any way, with a male lead who’s completely devoted to her. Yes happy at the end, she doesn’t change her core self.

Zhao Lu Si and Wu Lei were so good in this second half. Heartwrenching scenes. Still one of my fave dramas ever.

I can’t stop watching and now have to wait for new episodes, aargh. Love the sweet romance juxtaposed against a crime/murder backdrop. Just ignore the glaringly unrealistic details and enjoy the ride!

Meng Ziyi and He Yu acted together in The Legend of Heroes which is shown in two parts but the second part where their story is depicted (Jiu Yin Manual) hasn’t been broadcasted yet. Been waiting for so long for the news of the sequel. In the first part, I felt Meng Zi Yi did a great job as blind Mei Chao Feng.
